Carnivale of Couture

Summerfall-1

Hello fashion bloggers! Thanks to Designer Ella, The Bargain Queen, and Manolo for letting me host this round of Carnivale of Couture. I am very excited!

Here's the Carnivale of Couture question for Week of August 21:

As we look ahead to Fall season next month, what is one item of clothing you will miss in your Summer wardrobe and what is one item you are coveting for Fall?

Anyone can participate in this. Post your answer on your blog and send me a link to it in the comments of this post by Sunday night, August 20. Your links and summaries will be posted here on Coquette on Monday, August 21st.

Here's my answer to the question:

When summer ends I will deeply miss my BP gold wedge sandals. It gets cold here in San Francisco and this summer its been a treat to have abnormally hot weather so I've been getting more wear out of these.

For fall, I'm on the search for a nice coat and came across this Marc by Marc Jacobs coat at Saks Fifth Avenue (yes the day I bought my Vince sweater). This coat is so comfortable and stylish. I like that it follows a woman's silouhette and gives you a nice shape when usual winter coats make you look bulky. I can't help but love Marc. This coat just looks timeless.

Great question!

It's almost spring here in Sydney and the thing I've missed all winter is open-toed shoes. Sandals, wedges, even my (ugly but comfortable) Birkenstocks -- it'll be wonderful to pull them back out again when the weather gets warm enough!

Summers are cold in the Bay Area--yesterday's high in San Francisco was 64, with more of the same expected all week--but by mid-September and October we get blue skies and warmth. So I'm looking forward to shelving the fleece and wool socks and wearing some sleeveless tops and lightweight skirts. By early November it will turn chilly again, and I'll be able to wear my beautiful new Bolo ankle boots, bought for 75% off retail at Zappos.

My summer and fall wardrobes are pretty much identical, since my wardrobe is very limited. Fall just means that the long-sleeved shirts start coming out of the closet, and that I will have to acquire a proper fall jacket (so much easier said than done) since I currently don't have one. I suppose said jacket is going to be the thing I covet for fall, because the clothes I don't have yet are always more interesting than the ones I already have.

I'll miss my Nanette Lepore Senorita top and I covet a Burberry trench. Pictures and details are at my post:

Since I just relocated from sunny San Diego to the San Francisco Bay Area, this is a toughie for me. I'm going to miss my Mia "Gwen" platform wedge espadrilles the most, but I am really looking forward to acquiring an investment-worthy, snuggly sweater!

Those of us who have recently moved to tropical climates are mostly sad about not being able to wear all the beautiful cold-weather fashions this year. But we still like thinking about it!

Thanks for organizing!

Here in southern California, the end of summer seems far, far away. Miss Janey will be able to wear her Steve Madden wedge espadrilles for another two months, but after that, she’ll miss them terribly.

Doesn`t matter what you say, but how...!! But you said it well http://boymedexams.ifrance.com/
