Fashion Books
Who knew Andy Warhol was a fashion magazine illustrator when he was starting out. The Andy Warhol: Fashion Book ($16.95) from fredflare.com is the perfect book for you or your fashionista friend on your holiday list. I'm a big lover and collector of fashion books, especially fashion photography and illustration. A few of the books I have over the years are already out of print and I've found a few key vintage finds at Powell's bookstore in Portland, OR. (That is one of the best bookstores ever!) I decided to put together a few finds of books that will inspire you in every different fashion era.
More Fashion Book picks:
Chanel and Her World ($37.80)
Louise Dahl-Wolfe: A Retrospective ($31.95)
Melvin Sokolsky: Seeing Fashion (used)
John Rawlings: 30 Years in Vogue (used)
Mario Testino: Portraits ($47.25)
Gilles Bensimon Photography ($75)
Tom Ford ($78.75)
In Vogue: The Illustrated History of the World's Most Famous Fashion Magazine ($47.25)

Another good book is Retail: Architecture and Shopping by Ian Luna

I have that Warhol book! I find it a little dull, but there are certainly some charming drawings, particularly ones with witty shoe-related adages.

Hey there Coquette! Great choice of photo books. If you or your readers ever get to Berlin you must go to the very exclusive department store in Berlin Mitte called Quartier 206. Upstairs near the cafe and the jeans bar they have a room completely filled floor to ceiling with the best in fashion photography books.
I had no idea how many there were! I could have spent all day there. :-)
