I love the size and look of the Tory Burch Crinkled Metallic Tote ($425 at Neiman Marcus) which comes in Silver or Black. It's the perfect size to tote around everything, plus I love that the logo is very subtle.
Going on the Early Show, I wasn't sure if my feet were going to show or not. It depended on if I was going to be sitting with the host on the chair or just standing. The segment was originally set to be outside on 5th avenue in front of the Apple store and their studios but due to rain, it all got moved in doors. So what you didn't see on TV, were my favorite recent purchase, these cool Report Signature Woman's Billy Bootie ($147.89 on Endless.com). Of course I went shopping a few days before I left N, with my own personal stylist - my gay best friend, Ryan. I needed him to help me get my look together because of my lack of sleep from working so much. Ryan always tells me like it is, even when I look like crap so I knew having him along would give me a true honest opinion that most store saleswomen do not do. He found me this amazing bootie to go with my Anthropologie Textile Study Shift dress (posted here back in my grey round up).
Ryan also picked out these Ash Kinks Two Strap Ankle Booties ($195 at Shopbop - pictured here are the patent version, mine are just black leather). I ended up wearing these booties all over NY. They are really comfortable and totally fashionable with jeans or anything! Ryan says he needs to trademark his new shopping service, "Ask a Homo". Thanks Ryan!
Hi! I'm back from NY and the CBS Early Show! The Halloween fashion show for kids was fun and it was definitely a great experience. Here's a link to the video of the segment. You can also find out how to make each of the costumes: Monkey, Bee, Pirate, Lego, and Sushi on Craftzine. I'm glad to be back home. More from me soon as I'm recovering from the trip!
If you noticed Coquette's been very light this week, so here's the reason why. I'm flying to NY to go on the CBS Early Show on Saturday! I'm showing "Last Minute Halloween Costumes for Kids" and my segment is at 7:45am. (Yes eaaarly people!) If your still recovering from your Halloween party friday night, set your DVR or catch it later online at the Early Show site. We'll be featuring 5 costumes you can make from supplies you can grab from around your house or the nearby craft store. The how-to's for the project will be up on Craftzine.com on Saturday morning and we'll have the link off the homepage, so you'll be able to find it easily. Jenny Ryan's also coming along as we try our hand at being stylists for the kids eaaarly in the morning. Did I say early? Wish us luck!
Grey is the color of the season and I love this Ashley Love Grey Dress ($330 at Le Train Bleu). It's the perfect dress for day-to-day wear but can also easily be dressed up in no time with heels, boots, and chunky jewelry. In grey wool jersey, the dress is so comfortable. Plus, the belt even comes with the dress!
It's all about patent leather this Fall and I'm drooling over this roomy Kooba Patent Jasmine Bag ($625 at Shopbop). I think the patent look is best for accessories (not jackets please) and you can easily complete a look with a handbag or shoes. I also love all the other colors that are popping up from nude to grey and of course, red my favorite!

Kristopher digs boss Givenchy shoes that are a little bit country club, and a little bit rock n' roll.
Music, fashion and bling! Fashion Rocks 2007 had it all. My Fashion Life examines the red carpet hits and those unfortunate misses.
The Kate Moss Topshop Christmas 07 Collection arrives online at topshop.com next Thursday, Oct 25th. It looks like a luxe collection filled with beautiful dresses, perfect to jump start your holiday party circuit. I'm already drooling over the 20's style sequined dress (worn by the model on the right of Kate above). You can see a little preview on the site now but it's not much more than a teaser. We'll have to wait till next week to really see more detail and of course, how much these dresses will cost.
A special dress being designed is the Swarovski Dress, a 1920's flapper style beaded dress based on an original owned by Kate. Kate will be wearing the dress to Swarovski Fashion Rocks and it will be auctioned off afterwards to aid The Prince's Trust. As you know I love 20's style fashion so I'm looking forward to seeing the final dress on Kate.
