Best (and Worst) Dressed at the SAG Awards

All I can say is, the Oscars better not be cancelled. The Screen Actors Guild Awards red carpet was fun to watch but I cringe a bit at the cheesy reporting on E! (Ok that's always the case.) The best dressed of the evening was hands down Eva Longoria Parker. She looked stunning from the front AND the back. Her gown was the pinnacle of elegance and style. I just realized that I have never watched Eva in anything on TV or movies since I don't watch Desperate Housewives. I've only seen her at awards shows or magazines. Kinda crazy. The theme that called to me this time seemed to be silvery white, metallics overall, and a little bit of yellow splashed in for fun.

These ladies below just had it and I loved their looks:

Christina Applegate looked impecable in this sparkly slim dress. I loved her oversized clutch that put together the whole look.

Marion Cotillard of "La Vie En Rose" looked elegant and couture-like in her rouched chiffon dress. Her hair dazzled too with tiny sparkles that were very subtle.

Kate Beckinsale looked beautiful in her yellow tiered chiffon dress. I liked her yellow dress better than Vanessa Williams.

Surprise of the evening, Ellen Pompeo who said she found this dress while browsing the Jan issue of Vogue. Finally something that looks great on her and not too over stylized.

Debra Messing looked fantastic and was literally glowing in her dress. Her hair looked really good.

And let me say, for Worst Dressed -- I was completely shocked:

Angelina Jolie in just about the most terrible dress ever. Not only was she tripping in her dress to the point where her dress almost came down as she walked, Brad was tripping on it too. I'm sure she was stressed out the entire evening trying to have her hand ready to pull up her dress at any moment. And was it worth it in the end? No. Maybe she's preggers or wants us all to speculate. Who knows. But I say Boooo to her entire outfit. Enough with her nude/beige or white/black color palette she always wears. I can't even imagine how this would all look if she put that nude colored shawl or sweater on! Bad color, bad dress, bad style. Brad was stylin' though in this great suit with vest and no tie. Hot!

Ha ha, your comments on Angelina's dress have me dying. I usually think she looks pretty great, if a little underfed -- if she has to stick with a neutral palette, she does it better than anyone. But this look is taking her Earth Mama thing to a whole new level - a very low one, imho!

I'm glad some other readers think it works though. Can't please everyone!

nancy...how can you just assume that angie is annoyed about not being on stupid and silly tabloids? she doesnt care! and sometimes, its better if the media isnt sticking their heads around angie and brad's private life...if she's pregnant or not.

this may not be the nicest dress she's worn but she rocks it and all eyes were on them that night. also, angie has worn different colours before...her yellow dress to the cannes festival or something.

i am so with you on Angelina's whole look. booooo!!!! despite thinking she is stunning, i am never happy with anything she wears, so boring, or in this case, awful. how better to make people think you are pregnant than to wear a totally enormous billowy dress over a usually svelte-to-the-point-of-starving figure? maybe she's annoyed she and brad haven't been on the cover of the tabs much lately.

and Christina Applegate is looking AMAZING! wow.
