Today I had a rare treat to sit in on Estee Lauder International Makeup Artist Alan Pan's training session with the Estee Lauder team. It was such an inspiring experience to be a fly on the wall and learn from one of the masters. He's smart, funny, and you just want to soak up all his makeup and skincare knowledge. Did I mention he's hilarious? He had us all in stitches the whole day. But seriously, this man is a genius. He has some of the best tricks and techniques for makeup, especially for Asians. I've never seen anything like it. Here he is working on my friend Atsuko where he gave her such a stylish smoky eye. The photos posted here are screenshots from my video camera and I'll be posting up the tip-filled video on the blog soon.
If you are in the Bay Area, you have no excuse not to come to Macy's Union Square in SF on Thursday for your chance to get your makeup done by Alan and the team at Estee Lauder. This is his LAST appearance in the US before he heads back to London. Don't miss it! Go during your lunch break or leave work early since this event runs till 6pm at night. Go and get a 5 min makeover if that's all you have time for! Seriously, it's worth it to get his special touch on what works for you.
