I'm meeting and interviewing fashion designer Rachel Roy tonight at her Macy's event in Union Square, San Francisco. She'll be there from 6-8pm so come by if you are in the Bay Area. Rachel will be unveiling her new Rachel Rachel Roy collection that's exclusive to Macy's and her online store.
Here's Rachel Roy on Teen Vogue showing off her DIY skills with this project on how to turn a t-shirt into a punky prom dress.
I'm excited to announce the launch of my new blog, Coquette Maman that will cover life + style for the fashionable mom. Everything pregnancy, mom, and kid related so those of you single ladies on Coquette don't need to be bombarded with. xoxo
It's been a whirlwind here in NY that I haven't had time to blog on Coquette -- only tweeting (follow me @coquette). I'm off soon to the Glam Publishers' Party and then to the Vivenne Tam show and after-party. I leave for SF early tomorrow morning and will have all my photos and runway reviews up when I'm back! xoxo
It's a gray and overcast day today in NY and I'm wearing a hot pink Michael by Michael Kors shift dress because I'm so excited to be here! My friend Leigh Ferreira, a previous special NY fashion week editor you've seen here in past years on Coquette will be with me for the festivities tonight at Coach for Fashion's Night Out! We'll be there on the dot so meet us there to get a Coach limited edition tote turned into fashionable art by graffiti artists Pesu and illustrator Kiersten Essenpreis. See my previous post for more details.

I'm really excited for the upcoming Bay Area premiere of the indie crafts documentary, Handmade Nation by my friend Faythe Levine. The Handmade Nation event is hosted by the San Francisco Film Society as a part of their montly SF360 Film + Club series taking place on Wednesday, March 11 at 7:30 pm (doors open at 7pm) at Mezzanine (444 Jessie Street at Mint). Tickets are $8 for SFFS members and $12 for non-members.
There will also be a mini-craft fair component to the night with the following artists and vendors: Dutch Door Press, Diana Fayt, Cara Lyndon, Miss Natalie, Mittenmaker, Nous Savons, Sharon Spain, Woolly Hoodwinks, Zum, The Curiosity Shoppe, Little Otsu, Needles & Pens and Rare Device.
It will be fun to finally see the movie that I've seen Fathye filming at all the craft fairs throughout 2006 and to see most of my talented and crafty friends on the big screen! See more about the Handmade Nation documentary with this video preview:
Sorry for not posting much last week. It was a crazy time at work. If you read the CRAFT blog, you've heard the news that CRAFT magazine is shutting down print publication. I'm very sad to see our print magazine go, but excited and optimistic that we are moving everything online to Craftzine.com. So stay tuned for new content and improvements! Thanks for all your support! At least Lulu and I got a chance to grace the cover last spring.
Take a visit to Madberries and enter for your chance to win this Anya Hindmarch Shopping Tote (drawing ends Feb 20) that I blogged about last week. Three of the totes are now available on the Anya Hindmarch website. Pick up the Shopping Tote, Laundry Tote, or the Meat and Poultry Tote.
