Amelie director, Jean-Pierre Jeunet brings a softer, romantic side to Chanel No. 5, a stark contrast to the glitz and glamourous ads starring Nicole Kidman as well as the ones from the 80's with Carole Bouquet. Chanel No. 5 becomes a soft, artistic, and sophisticated lady thanks to Audrey Tautou. As a side note, I love the delicate star necklace she's wearing in the last scene!

I've been using the new Kiehl's Marvelous Mineral Mascara for a couple weeks now and am loving it. I've been in a major beauty kick lately (more on this later), that I've been trying to find the right mix of products to look fresh and natural. This mascara does the trick and lengthens the look of my lashes without clumping. Made with some natural ingredients such as acacia senegal, jojoba oil, and aloe vera, the mascara is also paraben-free and fragrance-free. The fact that it's made with such great ingredients makes me happy to put it on each day.
I love browsing the sample sizes in Sephora before the checkouts. (You know they do that on purpose for the impulse buys!) Ok I'll admit the title threw me off when I first read it. Having a 4th month old baby, I'm always around poo somehow. But this is about no shampoo. This "no poo" revolution is happening now at a crazy pace. I was emailed this SF Gate/The Mommy Files story and this Daily Mail article, Could you survive without shampoo? It's completely fascinating for someone like me who loves my beauty products and hair goods. Apparently, shampoos are filled with chemicals that aren't good for you, especially not good for kids. Pictured above is one of the Daily Mail writers, Lucy Sutton, who did the experiment and claims, "My hair has much more volume and I have discovered it has natural wave - I'll never use shampoo again." After the initial week of greasiness, her hair overcame it and now feels like silk.
I'm probably too chicken to try this out just yet, but I've been googling it and found some related stories that are great. If you've tried this yourself, please leave a comment.
