Attention bag lovers and knitters! My crafty pals at Whimseybox is having a fantastic giveaway for this Jordana Paige Cezanne bag in Stone Gray ($119 value). I've been carrying around my trusty Proenza Schouler PS1 bag for two weeks straight now and I love this style of satchel that works as a crossbody as well as a handheld. There are lots of compartments and pockets inside this bag including a section where you can hold all your knitting needles (or crochet hooks, if you please). This is probably the most stylish knitting bag I have ever seen!
Head on over to Whimseybox to enter the giveaway. The giveaway ends on Thursday, January 24, 2012 at 11:59 Central Time. The giveaway is also only open to U.S. and Canada residents. See the Whimseybox post for more details on the terms and conditions.

As digital as I am, when it comes to books nothing beats cracking open a real paper book and smelling that new scent of paper. Ah! Books become memories and I am lucky that while growing up my parents would always give me books as gifts. Some of my childhood books (where some are at least 35 years old) adorn my daughter's bookshelf, taped up tattered spines and all.
As the hustle and bustle of holiday shopping soon arrives, Chronicle Books has started a wonderful idea for us to share the gift of a good book with their Give Books campaign. Whether you are young or old, no one can deny how special a good book can really be. Think of a special book you love and want to share or match a book to your BFF's personality.
This holiday, Give Books!
Books make the perfect gift: They're personal. They're beautiful. They can inspire creativity and transport you to another world. Driven by a shared love of books, reading, and a commitment to support bookstores and literacy, Chronicle is launching a community-driven campaign to Give Books this holiday. We're partnering with authors, artists, bloggers, bookstores, and librarians to share their favorite reads and inspire your gift-giving this season. Julep makes some of the coolest nail colors and if you are a nail polish addict, you will love the new Julep Maven program. Each month a new Julep Maven box comes out with at least 2 seasonal nail colors plus some beauty favorites personalized for you. It's only $19.99 per box and you have the chance to skip a month if you aren't into what's coming for you. Take the Julep Maven style quiz to find out your personality and helps to pick out the colors and styles just for you each month. You can find out more in the Julep Maven section and watch the video.
I received a Julep Maven box to review that included 2 nail colors (Jennifer - a soft blush pink color and Brooke - a sparkly purple), a nail file, and the Julep Facial for Hands Glycolic Scrub. My dry hands from winter needed help and now my hands are so soft as I have been using this scrub each day. I've also been wearing the subtle blush color of Jennifer all week and can attest that this nail polish lasts! Unlike many traditional brands, Julep polishes are free of DBP, toluene, formaldehyde and formaldehyde resin. That's something that's important to me so I love supporting a brand like Julep.
Here's your chance to try out a Julep Maven box with your chance to win one in this giveaway! Just leave a note in the comments to this post telling me what your favorite nail polish color is. This giveaway is only available to U.S. and Canada residents only. All entries must be received by Friday, May 27 at Noon PST. Good luck!
Fashion industry veteran Sasha Charnin Morrison gives you a glimpse inside the world of fashion and stylists with her amazing book, Secrets of Stylists: An Insider's Guide to Styling the Stars (published by Chronicle Books). As the current fashion director at US Weekly, Morrison has over 20 years experience working in the biz for such publications as Harper's Bazaar, Elle, Allure, Vanity Fair, and more. She has her finger on the pulse of trends and celebrity fashion, all with an amazing sense of humor. She loves a very high heel and if you follow her on twitter or tumblr, you'll see the many nuggets of fashion eye candy she'll share each day.
What I love about Secrets of Stylists is that it goes deeper into what it takes to be a stylist. As an addict to the Bravo fashion stylist reality TV shows of Rachel Zoe and Brad Goreski, this book is a godsend. From the nitty gritty details of inventory to the drool-worthy trays of high-end jewelry and racks of gowns, Morrison gives you a complete in-depth look into this glamourous as well as tough as nails world. Even if you aren't looking for a career in fashion styling, the book gives you plenty of tips and advice on how to carve out your own personal style. I love, love, love all the photos of celebrities but what I love the most is the detailed photos she includes featuring sketches, supplies, array of outfits, and scribbled detailed notes – a true behind the scenes peek at this fabulous world.
Just in time for fashion week! Two lucky Coquette readers will win a copy of Secrets of Stylists! Just leave a comment to this post. The giveaway ends on Friday, February 10th at 5pm PST Monday, February 13th at 5pm PST. Good luck!
I also got a chance to talk to Sasha Charnin Morrison and ask her some very important fashion questions. Click for the interview after the jump!
