Statement Necklaces
I'm a big fan of bold, statement necklaces and this Gemma Redux necklace worn by Jessica Alba gives a fresh touch to her simple outfit. Check out more statement necklaces just like Jessica's in the slideshow at Stylehive.

I just spotted this cool looking Bubble Necklace ($115 at MoMAstore) at Stylehive. Made by designers Marina and Susanna Sent, who belong to a family which has worked for generations in Murano, the ancient center for the production of Venetian glass in Italy. I just love the idea of wearing tiny bubbles around your neck!
I love the fun style of Mimi Vert jewelry and her current Eye Collection. Mimi Vert is the creation of Miriam Josi, a designer and fashion model from Switzerland and Ilias Verras, a US entrepreneur of the luxury industry. The line reflects the common vision of the two partners and their experience in the fields of art, fashion and managing of high end brands.
The collection has some beautiful necklaces, rings, and earrings. Right now, I'm fixated on her bracelets and I love this simple heart charm bracelet ($85). You can shop and browse her online boutique.
Also don't miss her blog Mimi Loves which features lots of great fashion inspiration as well as updates on the jewelry line.
I recently went to the Swarovski store and found that they had a great selection of bracelets that made me feel like I was visiting Japan. They were sooo adorably cute, it was hard for me to pick just one. I ended up getting the gold Green Bracelet ($125) because I loved the little trees sparking in pink and purple and the reversible pink shiny epoxy on the other side. (Top image shows the close up of the trees.) I love the idea of wearing a few different kinds of skinny bracelets all together to make up your own look.
Mini-Cat Black Diamond Bracelet ($75 at Swarovski)
Euphoria Golden Shadow Bracelet ($140 at Swarovski)
Elsa Peretti Bean Bracelet ($145 at Tiffany & Co.)
Me&Ro Lotus Bracelet ($220 at Nordstrom)
This month at CRAFT one of the themes is Wardrobe Refresh. We are all budget conscious these days so it's important to stay fashionable without breaking the bank. One of my favorite projects is by Diana Eng's From Maxi Dress to Mini Dress. Here she takes inspiration from the spring runways and shows easily how to turn last season's maxi dress from H&M to this season's mini dress with this tutorial. I figured since I spend most of my time as a crafts editor in my day job, that I would also showcase more DIY fashion here on Coquette from time to time in roundups like these.
Here are more Wardrobe Refresh projects:
Tarina O-Ring Necklace
Crochet this bold necklace by Vickie Howell.
Papier-Mâché Floral Brooches
Inspired by Mrs. Obama, Cathy Callahan shows you how to make an adorable brooch.
Refashioned Crochet Embellished Tank
Take 2 ordinary t-shirts and transform it into this cute summer top by Dolin O'Shea.
DIY Eco-Hip Accessories
Nancy Minsky shows you how to transform plastic bottles in to funky jewelry.
Thank you to Coquette reader Mathilda who commented on my I heart Betty Draper post. She spotted in Bust magazine this 1960s Vintage Inspired Gold Tone Pen Necklace ($20 at 1928 Jewelry) that looks just like Joan's in Mad Men. Yes it does have a tiny 1928 logo on the front but for 20 bucks I'm willing to overlook that.
I'm getting into large chunky bangles these days and this CC Skye Woven Leather Chain Bangle ($150) seen on the likes of Jessica Alba is just perfect in my book. It's dramatic and edgy with it's woven chain design, yet still looks feminine.
Congrats to Coquette reader Nora Nelson who won the Designalicious Love Necklace in our giveaway last week!
Pick up your own jewelry in the Designalicious Etsy shop. There's free shipping on five of her Valentine designs. For more info and news, visit the Designalicious blog.
Ali at Designalicious has some beautiful new Valentine-inspired necklaces ($46-$48) now on sale in her Etsy shop. I love the vintage look of these collage pendants which hang from a 14K gold filled chain. As a Valentine's special, when you order a necklace get FREE shipping and beautiful wrapping.
