Last fall, we noticed a clear trend in pumps from Louboutins to Chanel. Now you can pick up a more affordable pair that doesn't skimp on style. Presenting the BCBC Cynthia Clear Pump ($89) that comes in black, red, silver and gold. Party time never looked so fun!
Give your tired feet a rest! The kitten heel is back for fall. It's no wonder these heels are a classic which came to popularity with Audrey Hepburn in 1954 from her movie Sabrina. I love this shoe paired with a classic pencil skirt for work. My favorite by far are the classic Coach Mandy Heel ($198 at Coach) in both black and a wine colored Port. Or go exotic, with the Mandy Heel in Python-embossed leather ($255 at Coach).
A must-have for the summer is the D'Orsay flat. I've been seeing them all over the city and have been obsessed with finding a perfect pair that's affordable. At the top of my list is the Jeffrey Campbell 'In Love' Flat ($89.95 at Nordstrom) in Silver and Ivory. I love the combo which is so fresh for summer. The SIXTYSEVEN 'Erin' Flat ($134.95 at Nordstrom) is a bit more luxurious in red suede, no? This one also comes in black and fun in the sun yellow which they so aptly named "lemonade".
For years I spent vacations wearing flip flops I bought from a surf shop years ago in Maui. They fell apart on my previous vacation so I knew I needed to get a new pair before I left for Hawaii. I picked out a black and white pair of printed Tory Burch flip flops ($50 at Tory Burch) and couldn't have been happier with the quality and the look for my vacation. I walked on hot sandy, tiny rocks and put these cute flip flops to the test. My feet and toes never hurt and I never got a blister. I even threw them in the washing machine on the gentle cycle when I got back and they came out perfect.
There are so many colors and prints, I really want a second pair now!
It's still Winter in NY, so heading to the Fall 2013 Preview at Coach headquarters made we covet even more all of the stylish warm hats, scarves and gloves to help brave the cold. I loved everything in the Fall collection, even the Mens items. The Fall handbags are a diverse mix of new styles and the classic Coach design. I really liked the purple envelope clutch pictured center above, a nice modern update to the classic Coach bags. The 2013 handbags are dressier and would make the perfect bag for a night on the town. Available in both leather and suede and in every fabulous Fall color.
Also featured were items from the Coach + Billy Reid Collection, a collaboration with designer Billy Reid featuring rich leather satchels and soft suede bags. I must have the blue suede bag and the portable bar set would make a great gift.

At the event, there were yummy treats to take home to help cure the Winter doldrums.
Superga is an Italian brand of sneakers that has been getting a fashion boost here in the U.S. thanks to our favorite fashion twins, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. The duo are the co-creative directors and are responsible for developing the creative/marketing as well as retail channels. They have even merged some of their luxe styling with their The Row brand by updating the classic sneaker with fine fabrics such as Italian linen and cashmere. I love the Superga Classic Sneakers ($65 at Zappos) in their multitude of colors. It's affordable and a classic sneaker that will look perfect with jeans or a dress this spring and summer. The Superga Linen Sneakers ($80 at Zappos) come in soft pastels and neutrals. Alexa Chung was last summer's campaign model who also styled the photo shoot.
I love the peeking into celeb closets (who doesn't?!) and the new Coach Shoe Boutique goes one step further. Coach showcases their latest spring shoes, along with some cool accessories peppered in, all beautifully laid out on a wall that I could only dream would be my shoe closet. Gals, zoom into the photo and move around to see all the pretty shoes up close and personal. Then just click on the one you like to find out more about it and add it to your cart.
Thanks to this shoe closet I'm coveting the (top row) denim Dani Heel ($198), the tan and leather woven Leela Heel ($228) and the burst of florescent yellow in the Lana Heel ($178) all in just one glance. Don't even get me started on the row below those shoes. It's going to be fun to figure out how I fit all these new Coach shoes into my existing closet.
Shop the Coach Shoe Boutique now. I dare you to just get one pair because I just don't think I can!
This spring the classic black and white combo gets a boost with interesting prints like this Rebecca Minkoff Corey Jacket ($378 at Rebecca Minkoff) pictured above left and the Rebecca Minkoff Becky Jacket in classic black with white collar ($368 at Rebecca Minkoff, size L is on sale for $257.60 at Shopbop). Black and white is easy chic in my book and also a great way to add a fun splash of color when you want it to look more casual.

I just got a pair of wedge sneakers from Sketchers and have been wearing them non-stop for the past two days since receiving them in the mail. The comfort is beyond amazing and I love the lift I get from them with the 3" hidden wedge. Also since it's still cold out, my feet are warm and toasty. I got the all black version and just realized on Amazon they are cheaper for some colors and styles than the $85 I paid via Zappos. I actually bought the version with shoelaces and one velcro tab but wish I got these instead. These wedge sneakers look pretty much like the Isabel Marant ones without looking as bulky.
So if you like the all black version you can get the Sketchers Plus 3 - Raise Your Glass Sneaker for just $69.95 with free shipping if you are an Amazon Prime member. The other colors and styles are also just as cheap give or take a few dollars. (The page says the prices are in the range of $56.99-$90 depending on size and colors.)
I just bought the Report Jude Bootie ($99 on Amazon) in black (also comes in brown) that have been seen on Olivia Palmero all over NYC. These booties are sold out almost everywhere. Piperlime is backordered for black until late Jan. Zappos is sold out too. I finally found them on Amazon and even got them on sale with their special checkout code. The fit is great and the shoes are really comfortable. The heel is mock wood and you can't really tell unless you hold up the shoe to your face really. But since the heel is all rubber, you get that super cushiony feeling as you walk. I have tried on a lot of motorcycle/buckle boots and these worked the best for me. I love how Olivia pairs them with skinny jeans and leggings for that street smart casual look.
Enter promo code CYBRSHOE at checkout and save $20 on $100 orders or $50 off $200 orders on eligible items sold and shipped directly by Amazon. (Btw, it works to get $20 off this $99 pair of booties.) Deal ends on November 29, 2012.
