Little girls can wrap themselves up in a cozy knit Mini Foks scarves like a true fashionista! I love how they are like little knit toy foxes. Pictured above is Crocus ($48) and below is Ash ($48) by Celaplu on Etsy.
Stella McCartney will be launching a line of children's clothing for babyGap and GapKids on Nov 2nd at select Gap stores in the US, UK, Canada, France, and Japan. A fashion designer who believes in eco-friendliness, McCartney used organic cotton, cashmere and wool. I'm loving the little military style jacket. There's also a pair of white high-top sneakers that come with a set of markers for kids to decorate. For more images and info, read the article at WWD.
The good thing about having a baby in the fall and winter is that you can hide yourself in large cozy sweaters until your body gets back to its regular size. I love this Splash-Of-Color Cardi ($168 at Anthropologie) because you can wear it untied while preggers and keep wearing post-partum forever. The multi-colored stripe goes with anything and the ruffles give it a girly touch.
Mom's The Word is a maternity wear store in San Francisco, Walnut Creek, and Palo Alto. It was one of my favorite stores to shop when I was pregnant. If you aren't in the Bay Area, you can shop online. Yes, it's true you are only pregnant for 9 months and you may think you can survive that time wearing the cheapest maternity clothes. Well, if you like fashion, trust me. You won't survive. My tip is to get a few pieces that are stylish and you like because as you grow bigger, you'll be only limited to a teeny section of your closet and it's easy to get depressed about it. I love this Cutest Tunic ($89) with an animal print because it's stylish, comfortable, and will look great over black leggings or jeans.
The key items to invest in? If I had to pick a few it would be a great pair of jeans, a dress (preferably in black cuz it works everywhere for anything), and a couple of nice tops and sweaters. Believe me. I thought I could make it through with Old Navy. Turns out, I went through 2 pairs of Old Navy jeans due to poor quality that I should have started with the 7 for All Mankind that lasted through the rest of the 5 months of my pregnancy, plus the 3 months after Chloe was born.
