I started to feel nostalgic for old movies and costumes by Edith Head. I knew she was THE fashion/costume designer in the golden years of cinema but I didn't know too much about her. This amazing woman won 8 Oscars for her design work and was nominated 34 times.
She did costumes for movies that I love like Roman Holiday and To Catch a Thief (above) . She made it seem like it was normal to have these amazing ornate party dresses, giving all of us a little bit of that dream.
