How could we ever forget Helena Christensen! She was famous for her sultry look in the fashion magazines in the 90's, yet her own style is decidedly bohemian as you can see from photos at premieres last year in 2006 (via siofnt.exblog.jp). The cover on the top right is one of my favorites that I still have in my collection of Helena with the rest of the supermodels, Claudia, Naomi, Christy, and Stephanie on this April 1993 Vogue cover by Herb Ritts. Nowadays, Helena Christensen is still in the fashion biz, only on the other side as a designer. She's teamed up with her longtime friend Leif Sigersen and the duo has a line of clothing called Christensen and Sigersen. The look is very Bohemian vintage but at the same time clean and modern. I love that each piece in the collection has a special detail that stands out whether it's a delicate leather tie or embroidered accents. You can check out the collection being sold now on Net-A-Porter.com.
Here are my favorites:
Asymmetrical Button Blouse ($150)
The leather tie is a nice touch.
Short Sleeve Linen Dress ($335)
The stitched look at the neckline is especially sweet.
Chunky Knit Cardigan ($425)
I love the bobble accents and wood beads on the drawstring tie.
Embroidered Linen Dress ($295)
I am a sucker for embroidery lately and the detailed trim on the sleeves and hem are heaven!
