The new spring looks from Anthropologie are now filled with embroidery, crochet, or needlepoint. The look is very 20's-30's with an heirloom quality to it all. This Nectar Hater Dress ($218) featured embroidered shrimp plants, fuchsias, and hummingbirds which is delicately tipped in lace and crochet.

Susie Ghahremani of Boygirlparty is an amazing artist and designer. She's definitely one of my favorites (and so nice in person!). Now she's come out with the cutest Owl Pendant ($20). It's the perfect accessory to wear this spring. We all know how cool owls are!

Foldover Bags

I love the new Foldover Bags created by LA based designer Poppie Harris. You can carry the bag like a clutch by "folding over" the bag. Poppie and her bags were recently featured in People magazine and the New York Times Style section touting the A-list of celebs like Naomi Watts and Jennifer Aniston who count the bag as one of their favorites.

The New Sporty "It" Bag - Tod's Roxy Messenger Bag

The new sporty accessory is the Tod's Roxy Messenger bag which retails for about ($725 - 775) You can see Cameron Diaz sporting one (via Tiffany Stone) as well as Naomi Watts, Kate Winslet and Drew Barrymore in this week's US magazine. I'd love the versions in Silver or Black. The strap is adjustable so you can wear it across your body or over your shoulder like a handbag. I haven't been able to find it sold online yet and the Tod's site says online shopping coming soon.

JCrew Spring - 60's Style

There's a new batch of spring cuteness over at JCrew aside from the nautical/preppy look that's been a staple of theirs. I'm starting to see more feminine classic styles inspired by the 60's. Now there's some beautiful cardigans and sweater jackets that will look fresh this spring. My favorite is the new Piazza jacket ($140) in classic navy.

Project Runway's Alison Kelly debuts her Dahl Fashion Line on Shopbop

Alison Kelly, one of my favorites from Project Runway Season 3, seems to be doing pretty well for herself since she got kicked off from the show last year. Her new clothing line, Dahl has debuted on Shopbop. The spring collection is young and girly, and really flirty. Most of the dresses are mini like this Tulee Dress ($313) which when paired along with wedge sandals seems to just shout perfection for spring.

Vivienne Westwood Exhibit at the de Young Museum

Vivienne Westwood's 36 Years in Fashion will be on exhibit at the de Young Museum in San Francisco from this weekend March 3rd through June 10th.

From the site:

This exhibition, which was organized by the Victoria and Albert Museum, London and which makes the de Young its only U.S. stop on an international tour, celebrates Westwood’s extraordinary, nearly 40-year-long career. Known best for her fearless nonconformity, she also has a profound respect for the past and looks to it for inspiration. With tradition as her springboard, she takes historic garments such as corsets and crinolines and reinvents them in new ways or uses thoroughly British fabrics like tartans and tweeds to create fashion that gently parodies Establishment styles. However outrageous or provocative the result, her approach has always been practical. She is driven by a curiosity about how things work, and her work reflects her systematic exploration of the structure of historical costume in museum collections.
