Takashi Murakami Exhibit at LA's Museum of Contemporary Art

Today's Style section of the NY Times features a write up on Takashi Murakami and his new exhibit at the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) that runs now through Feb 11. The exhibit not only showcases Murakami's breadth of art work and cute characters, but also showcases his collaboration with Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton. Unlike most art exhibits, the museum store is all a frenzy with women going there specifically to snatch up the limited edition Murakami LV bags. Modern art meets luxury goods. It's an interesting feat to see how handbags can make waves in the art world. Read more about it in the NY Times.

Felt Club: XL Holiday in LA November 18th

If there's a craft fair to check out in LA, you HAVE to go to Felt Club! Here's your chance coming up on Sunday, November 18th at the Los Angeles City College ((855 N Vermont Ave, LA CA 90029). You'll be able to shop your heart out with handmade goods, learn new crafts with the DIY workshops, and have fun! Plus one of my favorite gals Jenny runs it and she's always puts on a spectacular show. It's the perfect place to go get all your holiday gifts this season. This year Felt Club is featuring a Maker Square, a mini Maker Faire of sorts so there's fun for everyone!
