iPhone Fashion Apps - Chanel and Style.com

Chanel is the first major luxury fashion brand to have it's own iPhone app! I downloaded it recently and started to play with it. The app gives you the most recent fashion show video, in this case Chanel's Haute Couture show, as well as tons of photos and up to date news. I second tech blogger Justin Marshall's opinion about it all, this baby is very functional and totally on brand. It's fun to scroll through all the beautiful pictures that flow like perfect compact eye candy! Just imagine, waiting for the subway or at the doctor's office will never be the same.

And that's just the start of it all. According to the NY Times, later this week Style.com wil be launching an iPhone application just in time for NY Fashion week where videos of the runway shows will be posted up just hours after the show.

To get these applications, you don't need the latest iPhone 3G phone. Just make sure your iPhone has the latest OS software. Just go to the App Store on your iPhone and search for these fashion gems by name or under the Lifestyle category.

The Perfect Vest

The perfect item to take you from summer to fall is in my mind the little black vest. A little bit of menswear tailoring mixed in with a casual ease, this BDG Salford Vest ($48 at Urban Outfitters) is an affordable addition to your wardrobe. You'll easily be able to style up your t-shirt and jeans in an instant! Looking at the comments, if you like your vest to hang a little looser, then get a size up.

In addition to black, the vest also comes in a grey/brown stripe and brown plaid. Love it!

Put a Hat On!

Hats get refined and elegant this fall, like the Coach Wool Maude Hat in Grey ($248) that Blake Lively is sporting on the Gossip Girl set.

Seeing Stripes

I have a love for stripes and just bought this Banana Republic Striped Cardian ($89). The sweater is held together with a small pin closure, much like my favorite Vince sweater which I still wear all the time. The sun is shining bright around here but I'm antsy for fall!

Back to School Special at mi SPA

Coach Claudine Pumps

Spotted on Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester while filming in NY are these to-die-for Coach Claudine Pumps ($318). I love the patent leather mixed with suede that's all tied up with the cute ribbon shoe lace. The pumps come in grey and also bronze.

Fabric Necklaces by Tinctory

Thanks to my friend Moxie for pointing me to the delicate and beautiful fabric bead necklaces by Tinctory on Etsy. Tinctory is handmade jewelry by Eva, a Czech who's living in the UK. The simple fabric bead necklaces, which come in a variety of colors, are pieces of silk that are carefully gathered into pleats. Pictured above is my favorite, Pearl.

Eva also makes a larger textile pendant, pictured here is Turquoise. Just gorgeous!

On the Fringe

Shimmy and shake to your heart's content with fabulous fringe! I always love how they move. This 20's staple has got a new modern update from bags, shoes, to dresses. I love this 3.1 Phillip Lim Fringed Halter Dress (on sale for $325) at Net-A-Porter for it's modern yet retro take on the LBD.
