My top 5 picks from the Oscars were dresses that I couldn't get enough of and I had to oogle over them each time I saw a glimpse of them on the red carpet. The Oscars last night was definitely a throwback to glamour with beautiful strapless or one shoulder gowns dominating the red carpet. Kate Winslet is my best dressed #1 wearing YSL stood out in my book because her entire look was picture perfect from her gown, hair, to jewels. I loved her acceptance speech. How awesome is she? Seriously, she's someone who'd be fun to have a pint with in a pub in London.

Here are the rest of my favorites:
2. Natalie Portman looked stunning in her pink with gold embellished Rodarte. She stood out in that color in a sea of black, white, and red, and looked just fresh for her age.
3. I wasn't a big fan of the poofy dresses worn on the likes of SJP or Miley Cirus. But somehow Penelope Cruz made it work by channeling Audrey Hepburn's "Sabrina" in her vintage Balmain dress.
4. Freida Pinto in John Galliano. I love the over the shoulder and sheer one-sleeved look of the dress.
5. Marisa Tomei shone in this amazing pleated Versace dress. I only wish she would have had a better hairstyle that would have been a bit more ordered, possibly pulled back to compliment the complexity of the dress.
Honorable Mentions:
Taraji P. Henson in Roberto Cavalli. I loved the multiple layers of the dress. Her hair, jewels, everything about her looked great.
Anne Hathaway in Armani Prive looked statuesque and glamourous but she dressed too old in my book. I would have loved to seen her wear something much more fun since she's in her 20's. I couldn't get "The Devil Wears Prada" out of my head.

Oh and the surprise appearance of Jennifer Aniston to the Oscars was fun to watch. Of course they had to pan to Brad and Angie to see their reaction. She looked great despite the cheesy skit her and Jack Black were trying to play off. She stayed true to her bohemian style with this subtle braid in the front of her hair. It worked for her. Not many other people could have gotten away with it at an event like that.
