Getting to meet Joe Zee, Creative Director at Elle was a highlight of my trip. I've been a fan of his for a long time, ever since I saw him on various TV shows that I can't remember the names of anymore, giving his fashion commentary. It was back in the day when seeing an Asian on TV who wasn't a newscaster was kinda rare, much less seeing an Asian in the fashion world. I thought to myself, hey, he's a Zee too and he made it!
His tweets at @mrjoezee have been fabulous during Fashion's Night Out and Fashion Week. I like his recent column Style A to Zee: Date Looks where he and SNL's Andy Samberg pick their favorite fashion looks.
