I just swung by the Zac Posen for Target launch party tonight at the New Yorker Hotel ballroom. Inside, it felt like an intimate lounge/club, with racks of lovely clothes. (Of course!) The band, The Like (dressed in Zac Posen) were playing and all I could see was pink from the flowers, balloons, drinks, and clothes. Like a true fashion lover, I went straight for the clothes. The Zac Posen Target collection features lots of skirts and dresses. Very girly. Very cute. I thought that everything was really well made with good fabric.
The pieces are all very affordable with skirts at around $39.99. The tuxedo jacket I was eying was only $49.99.
My favorite piece was this gold floral brocade dress with large bow.
After trying the entire line on while sipping on a glass of champagne, I made my way through the party. Selma Blair breezed by me looking fabulous wearing the strapless layered dress. She was then pulled aside to pose for a photo with Zac! He's soooooooo cute! Also spotted around the party: Joe Zee, Erin Kaplan, and Olivia Palmero from Elle magazine and MTV's The City. I also heard Claire Daines (Zac's BFF) was there but I didn't see her. The pop-up shop opens tonight to the public at 11pm and is open for the next 24 hours!
