Fashion's Night Out (FNO) on Friday in New York City was soooooo much fun! With over 1,200 public events happening between 6 and 11 pm, my friend Laura and I chose 25 places to stop downtown in Soho, the West Village and the Meatpacking District. (And yes, 25 spots was too ambitious. We made it to about 14. We'll have planning for next year with a focus on the West Village and the Meatpacking District where things are a bit more civilized!)
Here are the highlights from our night:
We sipped champagne and ate kettle corn as we strolled through the Opening Ceremony French market at the Ace Hotel.
Pharrell/N*E*R*D performing on West Broadway in front of Pharrell's store Billionaire Boys Club and right in front of where we were standing. The street was packed and people were singing and screaming. We could not have planned this better if we tried. I heart Pharrell. All the girls like Hot N Fun!
Shopping at Elie Tahari, I spotted K-Fed holding a tiny dog. This was pretty funny!
The 3.1 Phillip Lim and Rag & Bone Mercer Street block party. Everyone in Manhattan was in Soho. It was CRAZY! Rachel Zoe was at the Piperlime store and you literally could not move down the street. It was like nothing I had ever seen.
The most memorable part of the night was seeing Anna Wintour walking down 14th Street, taking in FNO and smiling from ear to ear. The event is her brainchild. A special thanks to Anna and the Vogue team for putting the event together. It is truly, the most fun night of the year!
