First time showing at NYFW, Maisonette 1977 is designed by Jane Ibrahim who has worked for Michael Kors, Yigal Azrouel, Oscar by Oscar de la Renta, Bill Blass New York, Theory, and Cynthia Steffe.
From the Maisonette 1977 site:
"With Maisonette 1977, Jane brings an expressive, innovative spirit tempered by taste and expert execution. She mixes tough with sweet, modern with retro and minimal with prints and textures."
The line was presented in The Box at Linoln Center. I really like the gallery style format that allows you to get up close to see the clothes.
Her collection was filled with leather, zippers, flowy grecian draping in blacks, browns, grays and pastels. The leather jacket with gray metallic skirt was to die for! She is definitely a designer to watch.
BONUS: Kelly Cuttrone sighting!
