Once in a while miracles happen and I'm actually able to sleep through the whole night leaving me with no dark circles under my eyes. Those with babies and toddlers will "ooh" at the rare treat. For the last 2 years I've tried various concealers and they've left my eyes or face area in a cake-y mess or a terrible break out the next day. I asked @Bergdorfs on Twitter for help. She told me that all the Berdorf beauty gals swear by Clé de Peau's Concealer ($70 at Bergdorf Goodman). The price was steep but I desperately needed help. I did extensive research online reading beauty forums and everyone seemed to concur about Clé de Peau's concealer magic which happened to be named the "Best Undereye Concealer" by In Style Magazine last May.
I headed to Neiman Marcus to test it out. The SA gently applied the Ivory shade under my eyes and instantly I saw a huge difference. I didn't look tired! I don't think she liked it when I told her I wasn't going to buy it right away. I really needed to test it out and see if it lasted all day or if it would make me break out. At 10:30pm that night, it was still on and it looked great! No caking ever happened and no breakouts either. The next weekend I headed down to purchase the concealer.
Right now, this is probably my most expensive item in my makeup bag. I would never spend this much money on makeup. Skincare, yes but not makeup. But Clé de Peau is really worth every penny. I love that the texture is very light and airy. You can gently dab it on around your eye area (or anywhere else on your face) with your fingers. I usually finish it off with some pressed or loose powder. Since it's in a stick format, it will probably last longer than the liquid concealers (which I hear have lots of leaking issues if you get those click pen versions).
If you have dark circles or spots you want to hide on your face, take a trip down to the Clé de Peau beauty counter and try it out for yourself. Believe me, you'll be hooked!
