Louis Vuitton City Guides 2011

It's no secret I love Louis Vuitton and illustrator Ruben Toleldo. Now the new Louis Vuitton City Guides for 2011 collection also includes a City Guide Postcard Box ($115), a set of 100 postcards in fluorescent colors that is a retrospective of his city guide illustrations since 1998.

Each of the guide books are only $34 each and cover New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Tokyo, Berlin, London, Rome, and Kyoto/Nara. Or you can pick up a box set of all the European cities for $135. Which guide am I picking up? Why the Louis Vuitton City Guide Paris – bien sûr! The guide covers everything from neighborhood cafes, luxury hotels, fashion and design, galleries and secret museums.

Coral Beauty Picks

Summer is soon upon us and I love refreshing my makeup for a warmer glow. Stylehive finds that the new coral beauty trend is a flattering color that works for every skin tone. I'm definitely looking into the featured OPI nail lacquer in Conga-line Coral.

I have to admit that I have Royal Wedding fever and I can't wait to watch the big event on TV. China Fashion Week Highlights

Is it just me or are all the major fashion houses looking to China lately? China Fashion Week happened recently at the end of March in Beijing. The event has been going on for 14 years but I think the visibility of it worldwide was more apparent this year where it covered 40 brands, 29 collections, and 7 competitions. There were some amazing pieces from very wearable to avant-garde. I love these ombre knits that were a part of a designer's creation during the Cherry Cup New Fashion Designer Contest. (I wish I knew the designer who did this and who ended up winning. If anyone knows please let me know!)

Tory Burch Eddie Ballet Flats

I've recently been eyeing the Tory Burch Eddie Flats ($178). I love their classic simple shape and beautiful range of colors. I live in flats everyday so I knew I needed to get a new pair for spring. I was downtown today and decided to swing by the Tory Burch boutique to try on a pair myself. I had heard that these flats were comfortable from my two friends that have them, but I was surprised at just how cozy they really are. These flats are like two cozy pillows for your feet! I also loved that the flats were not logo crazy either.

I ended up getting a pair in metallic pale gold (btw, the metallic silver is much brighter silver in person than the photos online). The shoes run small so get a 1/2 size larger if you are buying them online. (I'm in between a 7 1/2 - 8 and the size 8 flat worked the best for me after trying both 8 and 8 1/2 on.) Also, even if you already own a pair, the new Eddie flats this spring are improved with a rubber bottom and even softer cushioning. (Older Eddie flats have a dark bottom.) I'm already thinking about the next color I want to get...this decision will be hard!
