Colored Jeans

I re-accessed my closed this weekend and vowed not to wear so much black. It's all about brights! (Right?) I bought some cute tees and tops at H&M yesterday that would look great in warm weather. Too bad it's been rainy and will probably rain all week here in San Francisco. I look look of colored jeans a trend I have been following with the fashion bloggers lately and was recently mentioned by Cathy Horn in the NY Times. It's been mostly about the red jeans but honestly, I'm in love with royal blue and yellow.

My two favorites are the J Brand Mid Rise Skinny Leg Jeans ($176 at Piperlime) for it's bright blue and J Brand Mid Rise Skinny Leg Jeans for the perfect shade of yellow.

Marc Jacobs Zip Clutch Wallet

I have been using my Marc Jacobs Zip Clutch Wallet ($295 at Bergdorf Goodman) for about 5 years now. The leather is soft and it's still in great condition. My favorite part of the wallet is just all the nice compartments, including the handy outer flap where I can quickly place parking garage tickets or doctor's appointment cards. I find the two outer coin pockets to be really convenient because having more coins doesn't prevent you from closing your wallet.

To be honest, I'm in a dilemma because I am itching for a new wallet (just for the heck of it) but I can't seem to find one that matches this one for all it's wonderful compartments inside and out. For quick trips to the corner store, I can even put my house key and iPhone in here and have it all in one place. It's sleek and clean-looking on the outside so I always get compliments from sales clerks on the beauty of my wallet.

Knee-Length Denim Skirts

Gwyneth Paltrow recently showed off in London a great denim look with her mid-length Stella McCartney denim skirt ($515 at Net-A-Porter). This mid-length denim look is also featured in her latest GOOP newsletter on Spring Basics. The knee-length is classic and yet also a fresh step away from the last few years of thigh-grazing mini skirts. I love how Gwyneth has dressed up her look with high-heeled booties but you could easily pair it with flat sandals or ballet flats.
