Here is this week's Web Snob with the latest in fashion, beauty, celeb, and lifestyle:
With a decidedly clean palette and a love of a sophisticated buckles, there’s never a question of whether it’s Reed Krakoff or not. See for yourself at Bag Snob!
Amazing beyond words, in breathtakingly delicate patterns with motifs like "Deer and Butterfly," "Peacock," and "Under the Sea," paper eyelashes at Beauty Snob put Shu Uemura to shame!
Jen from Brooklyn, NY was the winner of the craft book, 1, 2, 3 Sew. Thank you to everyone for entering. I'll have a fantastic new giveaway next week so stay tuned!
Just launched on Coach.com are new colors for five iconic handbag styles of Coach Classics, now in limited edition reissue. I love the Stewardess Bag in British Tan ($358) as seen on Whitney Port and Christina Hendricks. You can purchase these bags online at Coach.com or at Coach boutiques in East Hampton, Bleecker, and 595 Madison Avenue in NY and Rodeo Drive in LA.
This is the perfect classic, understated and functional bag with interior and outside pockets, that will easily go from summer to fall. The bag also comes in a darker brown (Mahogany). I love this bag paired with maxi dresses, skirts, wide-leg jeans – honestly, just about any outfit works with this bag and this shade of British Tan will age so nicely.
You can also now pick up the Coach Classic leather shoulder purse ($298) in Vermillion, British Tan, or Black. (7/29 update: Now available in White too.)
The Coach Classic Madison Leather Satchel ($358) also comes in five colors: Vermillion and Lime are shown above and it also comes in White, British Tan, and Black.
Penny loafers are apparently new again. I still remember my first pair back in the 80's and my dad giving me some shiny new pennies to put in there. Tory Burch's version of the classic Penny Loafer ($250 at Tory Burch) is sans penny, instead her famous circle logo is peeking brightly out. Which makes total sense right? These days who has any pennies?! (I always leave them at the little dish by the register.) These lovely men-inspired loafers are cute with short skirts or jeans. I want them in red. They also come in black and bison brown.
I still can't believe we have to wait until 2012 for the next season of Mad Men. To hold us through, Banana Republic's Mad Men collection is now on sale at Gilt Groupe! Featuring lady-like clothing inspired by Betty Draper, the collection is still fresh for our modern life today. Sizes are going quickly but some of the standouts I love are the Begonia Print Dress ($150) and Leopard Print Cardigan ($89.50) with Betty Scarf ($39.50).
And if you want your man to be dressed like Don Draper, there are a few mens selections too. Pictured above Tailored Silm Two-Button Blazer ($375).
Bonjour Coquettes! I would love it if you could help vote for my other blog, Coquette Maman to be one of the Top 25 SF Bay Area Mom Blogs on Circle of Moms. Today I'm so excited to be a part of the blog tour for Ellen Luckett Baker's new book, 1,2,3 Sew (published by Chronicle Books). Ellen's popular craft blog, the long thread has been a long time favorite of mine. It's always filed with great sewing and craft projects.
For those of you that have been wanting to learn how to sew, this is the perfect book. The book presents projects in groups of threes to help you learn and build upon your skills in sewing as you move along each project. For instance, here's a group on pouches. 1) Start by learning how to sew a glasses case, 2) next sew a zippered pouch, then finally 3) sew a cosmetics bag.
There are 33 projects in all with projects for you to sew for your home, accessories, kids, and more. The spiral-bound book also comes with patterns neatly placed in a front pocket and each project comes with photos, illustrations, and step-by-step clear instructions.

Here are some project excerpts from the blog tour:
From the Chronicle Books blog, learn how to make a lined market tote perfect for your trips to the farmer's market or grocery store.
This adorable lunch sack project is great for back to school and is featured on Sew, Mama, Sew. Get the instructions and the pattern PDF. (p.s. I love this Cute Bots fabric by Rashida Coleman-Hale.)
Take a look at the fun stop-animation trailer for the book.
I can't stop looking for blue things lately so I decided to do a roundup of some of my favorites. I adore this Rachel Roy Swing Skirt on sale now for $297.50 (was $425) at Shopbop. This silk skirt is modern and is a perfect transition piece to wear to fall. That mid-length hem falling right below the knees is so refreshing!
Inspired by floral anatomy and botanical cells, fashion designer Diana Eng has launched her new mini collection of Laser Lace Tees and Tops. Traditional distressed t-shirts are popular for their tattered and well-worn style. Diana uses the accurate targeting of a laser cutter to precision distress floral cell-inspired lace patterns into a lightweight 100% cotton tee. Pictured above is the Laser Lace Basic Tee ($68) that comes in multitude of colors.
I love this Laser Lace Super Distressed Tee ($68) in silver pictured above. It is so stylish and the pattern will continue to distress and evolve along the neckline of the shirt.
Diana writes:
I love wearing t-shirts and jeans and don’t usually wear light up clothes with 140 volt circuits. But t-shirts and jeans aren’t really design studio appropriate. So I decided to distress a bunch of T-shirts in lace patterns. The laser was a perfect solution to creating precision lace patterns coupled with techniques found through A LOT of experimentation to properly distress and stabilize the lace.
