Today I'm so excited to be a part of the blog tour for Ellen Luckett Baker's new book, 1,2,3 Sew (published by Chronicle Books). Ellen's popular craft blog, the long thread has been a long time favorite of mine. It's always filed with great sewing and craft projects.
For those of you that have been wanting to learn how to sew, this is the perfect book. The book presents projects in groups of threes to help you learn and build upon your skills in sewing as you move along each project. For instance, here's a group on pouches. 1) Start by learning how to sew a glasses case, 2) next sew a zippered pouch, then finally 3) sew a cosmetics bag.
There are 33 projects in all with projects for you to sew for your home, accessories, kids, and more. The spiral-bound book also comes with patterns neatly placed in a front pocket and each project comes with photos, illustrations, and step-by-step clear instructions.
