I'm in major spring decorating mode since I cleared out and reorganized all the closets in the house these last few months. Always favorite show of the season, Vivienne Tam did not disappoint. Her collection was filled with warm jewel toned (that purple!) skirts, pants and dresses. The rich silks and silk brocade, Chinese motifs (see the exquisite dragon above), patterns (zig zags and stripes) and furry collar everything were unexpected, delightful and fun. I loved the very tailored, layered look of jackets and skirts over pants. And Vivienne's modern take on the Chinese red dress (cheongsam) was beautiful. Fall can not come soon enough. One of everything please!

I'm a longtime fan of Tibi and their lovely printed dresses, so I was excited to attend their Fall 2012 show.
The looks began with the usual black, charcoal and navy wool sweaters, as well as stylish pants and skirts. Then boom out came window pane! Bird print and jewel toned metallic leather skirts/pants graced the runway. Gorgeous! I love the wine metallic skirt pictured top right.

Yesterday I had a brief moment of bliss on Maiden Lane in San Francisco. I had to go to the Tory Burch boutique to exchange a pair of shoes for a larger size. I only had thirty minutes to do all this and leave in time to pick up my daughter from school. I started to relax a bit and decided to enjoy a little bit of window shopping. When I arrived at the Hermes window, I completely stopped and gasped. There before me was the most amazing large origami paper horse wearing an Hermes blanket and saddle. I knew I needed to snap a picture to capture the moment!
Each of the Hermes windows I walked by had more amazing origami integrated along with the fashions. I love the little horses with wings!
While waiting for the sales associate at Tory Burch, I started drooling over all the amazing colorful pieces on display.
These days, my cellphone does so much more than just allow me to talk, text or email. I don't know what I would do without having my cell phone camera handy. I've come to realize how it's a way of documenting my life, from cool fashion inspiration to taking snaps of Chloe and my pom Lulu. I also use it to "take notes". Instead of typing notes into my phone, I have found it easier to just take a photo. Whether it's a pair of shoes I like or a book, I just snap a pic to remind myself about it later on when I'm home.
I ended up getting the right sized pair of Tory Burch Murphey sneakers! Here's my photo tweet. So happy!
