I'm trying to figure out lately what to do with my long hair. Maybe it's the winter blahs but I've been quite bored with it. I'm looking to try some fun, new hairstyles that don't take too much effort. This loose side braid on Lauren Conrad featured on her site The Beauty Department, looks so effortless and beautiful. It's perfect for spring and feels very California to me.
Another look that I love and that I have actually tried is the no heat curl tutorial as featured by Chelsey of The Paper Mama. It adds soft waves and body to my long hair and it's soooo easy. All you need to do is place your hair in a headband (watch The Paper Mama's video) and sleep. I'm also excited that she just added her own video to show you how to place the segments of hair in the headband. You'll wake up with these great waves (skip to 7:37 to see her results). I have also gotten some smaller waves by twisting my hair into a bun and fastening it with a ponytail holder before I go to sleep. It's great to wake up with new hair with a lot of body!
Hope you enjoyed these little DIY hair tutes!
