Coach unveiled their Fall 2012 Legacy Collection on Monday night with a little preview party in Manhattan which I was so excited to attend. The collection is a new line based on the original bag designs Coach is so well known for, but with a 2012 twist of eye popping colors along with accessories, jewelry, sunglasses and shoes to match.
I grew up with Coach, so perhaps I am a bit nostalgic for the simple saddle bag with the lovely, functional clasp. I can't wait to buy the highlighter yellow duffle, wide and narrow cuffs in every eye-popping color, and the iPad case when they all go on sale August 1st. (We'll keep you posted when these beauties launch.) I'm swooning for the Men's line too – it's that good. My favorite is the brown courier bag with double clasp closure. Yes, please!
By the way, do you know where the signature Coach clasp comes from? (I just learned this myself at the party.) Turns out, designer Bonnie Cashin was inspired by the fasteners on the top of her convertible. Now this iconic clasp continues to shine again in the Coach Legacy Collection.
