Rachel Zoe Kristen Military Jacket - The Perfect Black Blazer

Ever so often I love to check out People Style Watch's "I love my..." photo gallery for celeb favorites. This Rachel Zoe Kirsten Military Jacket ($270 at Bergdorf Goodman) on actress Kate Mara really caught my eye. I don't really know who this actress is but I love how stylish she looks with this very hip blazer that works over dresses as well as skinny jeans. The added side zip pockets gives this blazer it's added edge and the collar/buttons lets you easily vary how it looks on. Right now, I'm trying to build a blazer collection as it's one of the most stylish ways to keep warm in breezy SF. The Rachel Zoe blazer I got last year has kept up really nicely so I knew her quality was good. I also loved that I found it on sale at Bergdorfs for only $270, a big savings from it's regular $450 price tag.

Nude Wedges

I've been spending time organizing my shoe closet and figuring out what I need. Ok, I don't really need that excuse to buy myself a pair of shoes but I've come to realize these two things. 1) I love a wedge heel as it's much more comfortable for me. 2) A nude shade does wonders to elongate your legs and looks perfectly fresh for spring and summer. I've also paused a lot on this photo of Ms. Angie who's queen of wearing neutral or black shades. Her nude wedges here look so classic and works wonderfully with her whole outfit. I'm guessing her's are the sleek Jimmy Choo Baxen Peep Toe Wedge ($595 at Nordstrom). I love that these wedges are thin and give the whole pump a streamlined look.

Last Friday, I had the honor of being invited to a special press opening of the new stand-alone Jimmy Choo boutique in Union Square, San Francisco. Waiters with mimosas and tea sandwiches greeted press and bloggers as we walked in the door, but I couldn't keep my eyes off all the sparkles in the room from the Jimmy Choo shoes, bags, sunglasses, and more that filled the boudoir inspired interior. Let's just say Carrie Bradshaw would have cried in joy to see walls and walls of shoes line the entire boutique.

Right when I walked in I ran into fellow Glam blogger, Kristen of Stylenik. It was so nice to be able to drool over all the goodies with a friend I hadn't seen for a long time.

For those SF gals who live in flats, don't worry there are plenty of sparkly and colorful flats available. I fell in love with the low-heeled peep toe wedges (pictured right) that are just perfect to look fashionable in, while still braving some of those big SF hills. I of course, need them in patent nude, thank you very much.

The boutique has everything you need from Jimmy Choo and even has special items unique to San Francisco, especially for us fashion tech lovers. The limited edition glitter iPad case ($495) is available now and features a glitter pattern from the upcoming fall 2012 collection.

Kohl's Spring: The Perfect White T-Shirt to Wear with Bold Colors

This time for my shopping trip to Kohl's, I wanted to create a feminine and fun look that would be a perfect day outfit for spring – something that works for a lunch out, a shower, graduation, or an afternoon on the town. Fashion staples are an important part of every gal's wardrobe and one everyone must have is the basic white t-shirt. I found the perfect one that mixes classic with a feminine touch, which became the foundation for this entire outfit.

The Jennifer Lopez Twisted Chiffon-Trim Top with the chiffon neckline makes it oh so different and turns a simple t-shirt into a stylish top. I paired it with a kelly green Elle Accordion-Pleat Skirt, which brings this outfit it's fun burst of color and gives it a very flirty and feminine touch. What’s great is that the pleated chiffon skirt already comes with a yellow belt and also is lined.

The top and skirt are perfect on their own but spring days can be breezy so to give it all an extra boost of color-block fun, I chose to add the Simply Vera Vera Wang Mixed-Media Colorblock Cardigan. This cardigan has that perfect yellow that instantly puts me in a happy mood. I really can't stop wearing this sweater and have paired this look also with jeans and white pants. Anything works with it! On my feet are the most comfortable Apt 9 Ballet Wedges. I live for ballet flats and I love the height these wedges give me without skimping on the ballet-style comfort. This outfit feels like spring to me and the pleated skirt makes twirling so much fun!

There's nothing I like better than to indulge myself with bath and beauty products and thanks to LUSH, I am doing it in an eco-conscious manner. LUSH is home to "fresh handmade cosmetics" featuring bath bombs, soaps, lotions, creams, scrubs, and more. Everything they have feels so amazing on your skin and you have a peace of mind to know that none of it is tested on animals. I love their simple packaging that is also whimsical and fun. My 3 year old Chloe loves that the lotions are in "little ice cream tubs".

Sakura Bath Bomb ($6.35)

I could lie in the bath forever with LUSH's bath bombs. I like Sakura for it's relaxing floral scent. Check out all their bath bombs which are so cleverly named to see which one matches your mood (or the mood you want to be in).

Ickle Baby Bot ($3.95)

In addition to the Chocolate Whipstick, Chloe adores this kid's bath bomb that's a mix of lavender, chamomile, and sandalwood. It's a perfect way to relax the kiddo before bedtime. The little robot shape is fun for them too.

Dream Cream ($25.95)

This is my essential daily cream. It smells great and isn't too fragrant in a floral sense but it smells fresh. My skin is really dry and it absorbs quickly without being greasy at all. It's on the top of my list for a must-have LUSH item.

Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub ($34.95)

I use this on my face a few times a week to exfoliate as well as in the shower for my arms and feet. It feels great!

Honey I Washed the Kids Soap ($7.95)

I love the natural looking soap bars from lush that don't feel like perfectly manufactured squares. This one feels perfect on the skin and the soft honey scent is fabulous.

Chocolate Whipstick ($6.95)

What can I say, who wouldn't want to smell like chocolate? I have this on my desk and use it a few times a day. Sometimes I even just pop open the lid to smell it. Chloe loves it too and if it's off my desk, she's usually snagged it for her little Hello Kitty purse.

Banana Republic Trina Turk Collection Summer 2012

Trina Turk's perfectly colorful poolside "I'm vacationing in Palm Springs" kind of fashions gets a new boost with her new collaboration with Banana Republic. The collection features nearly 60 pieces ranging from dresses, skirts, swimwear as well as accessories. The Trina Turk collection debuts in Banana Republic stores and online on June 7, 2012.

Brad Pitt is the New Face for Chanel No. 5

Last week we all heard the news that Brad Pitt would be the first man in history to be the face for Chanel No. 5 – a fragrance that is for women. (via People)

Not sure if Karl Lagerfeld's in lust with him or he's secretly launching a version of this classic fragrance for men. He'll be taking the reigns from French actress Audrey Tautou and before that Nicole Kidman. I'm looking forward to seeing who's directing the commercials (the Kaiser himself?) and how they'll portray Pitt. He's a dude, a man's man, not my French husband or any other French man who you would believe to buy you a bottle of Chanel No. 5.

In any case, for me growing up in the 80's it was all about Carole Bouquet and the Chanel No. 5 ads that made you aspire and get a little bit jealous of those gorgeous, stylish French women. I didn't realize the commercials were directed by Ridley Scott. This one below is one of my favorites because it features Nina Simone's "My Baby Just Cares for Me". I love how Carole's Chanel outfit and her gold accessories would still look classic today.
