Get the Trend: Leather Espadrilles

I love myself a good espadrille but I am not ready to shell out over $600 for Chanel's logo emblazoned one. Espadrilles in my mind aren't meant to last forever. I of course can't ignore the cool look of leather mixed with the jute rope and recently on a shoe excursion to Nordstrom found these Kendall & Kylie Madden Girl Poppyy Espadrille Flats ($49.95 at Nordstrom). I told the SA I couldn't believe I was buying Kendall & Kylie shoes and she laughed and whispered, "It's ok. I am over 30 and I have a pair too! They are the best and way cheaper than Chanel." This I had to agree.

After wearing them the first day, I was hooked. The comfort was simply unspeakable and the perforated (faux) leather looked fresh. They looked perfect paired with t-shirts and jeans or even a little more dressed up with a blazer. I now know I need another pair and am looking into the white/black one. Also comes in nude/white and coral. For me the shoes ran a little big and I had to go a 1/2 size down.

New NARS Contour Blushes

NARS who reigns the blush front in my book just launched their new line of NARS Contour Blushes ($42 at narscosmetics.com). Three beautifully balanced duos feature a lighter shade to illuminate the high points of the face and a deeper shade to enhance definition. The medium--sized compact features an ultra-smooth and lightweight texture. The specially designed contouring formula easily allows you to create visual depth and dimension. I have it in Olympia which features a Rose blush with Ivory highlighter. I love the way my cheeks can be easily defined now. The NARS Contour Blush also comes in Paloma (Pink Beige/Deep Rose) and Gienah (Honey/Amber).

To create the perfect contour on cheeks, apply the deeper shade of the contour blush to the hollows of your cheeks and along the hairline. Sweep the lighter shade across the cheekbone to toward the temple to soften and highlight. You can stop there for a natural look or add a pop of color with a pink shade of blush on the apples of your cheeks.

Kris Nations has lots of options for the fun trend of stackable rings. I love this Heart and Arrow Ring set ($68) or you can choose your own custom 2 or 3 stacked ring set. Jo Malone London Michael Angove Collection

Just launched at Jo Malone London is the Michael Angove Limited Edition Collection which features bath soaps, scented sachets, candle and a scent diffuser. Angove, a British designer, created two bespoke packaging designs for two scents: Blackberry & Bay and Orange Blossom. The detail of his packaging design is so rich – it really captures the very nature of the scents. Through Angove's post on his blog, I came to discover that in each design there are hidden bugs from the stenocereus beetle to mantis. I was given a box of the Bath Soap Collection ($40) which features both scents packaged in a beautiful box. Step Into Spring with Coach Shoes

Whenever the seasons change, I tend to celebrate with a pair of shoes (or two, or um, three). I recently picked up the Coach Wooster Flat in python-embossed leather ($218, pictured below). I have gotten so many compliments each time I wear these, that I'm sure I need another color. The Wooster flat also comes in colored and metallic versions ($188) like silver, warm blush, cerise (pictured at top left) and black. I'm so glad that pointy-toed flats are in and the thin delicate strap look oh so pretty.

Another favorite shoe comeback I adore is the chunky heel. The Mackenzie Heel ($428, pictured at top right) is perfect to pair with spring dresses. It comes in chalk, natural and black.
