I'm in Europe now and I wanted a powder that would just be something light for my face in hot weather. Even though I am loving my Dolce & Gabana powder, the compact feels a bit too precious to be throwing around in my tote bag. ($30 at Sephora) for it's finely milled powder and translucent finish. It adjusts to any skintone and I liked that it wasn't just a pure white powder. The finish is so smooth and it really does reduce the look of my pores around my nose. I've been wearing it everyday since I bought it, even though it was meant for my trip. (See my July favorites post.) I love that it comes with a little old school powder puff so you can touch yourself up on the go. It reduces shine giving me a perfectly matte face. The plastic compact is not completely my thing, but the powder works so well on my skin, I'm happy to overlook it. In fact, since the packaging is so simple, I can throw it in my bag and not worry about it at all.
