Hello lovelies! I'm back. We had our apartment repainted late last week through the weekend. At the same time, I had to finish off a couple of gift guides for Racked SF (my Kids Gift Guide just went up) which is why I haven't had a chance to share this wonderful cream with you.
I decided recently I wanted to try some new skin care products that weren't too pricey. Something under $50 was ideal. I had heard from an amazing esthetician that MAC had some good skin care products because they are owned by Estee Lauder (one of my favs of course). Upon researching the various MAC creams on Paula's Choice, I found this comfort cream which is a resurrected version from the now defunct Prescriptives line.
I picked up the MAC Complete Comfort Creme ($33 at Bloomingdales) at newly remodeled Bloomingdales at the Stanford Shopping Center. (You have to go check it out if you are in the Bay Area. The beauty counters are gorgeous.) This cream is best for dry and sensitive skin. It is a plant and marine-based formula and feels very creamy, yet light. The sales assistant there told me it also helps calm down redness and I noticed these past couple of weeks, the redness around my nose is lessened.
I bought this cream to wear as a night cream since I've found that most night creams are too heavy for me. This has the right consistency, not too light and not too heavy either. I also like the soothing cucumber smell. ou can also wear this in the day under foundation if your skin is feeling really dry. It absorbs right into the skin. I dab on some argan oil on top for nights when my skin is feeling really dry. I then wake up with the softest skin ever!
Another update, I received my Chanel Reve D'Orient Eyeshadow and it's even more beautiful in person. Colors can really go on soft. I'll also be posting up my beauty gift guide soon so hang tight!
