I've been really focusing lately on finding a good cleanser that's not full of excess chemicals, good for sensitive skin and isn't expensive. Finally I found it with Simple Skincare. They sent me a few of their products to try so I was able to use the products featured above for a good two and a half weeks. Simple Skincare is true to it's name. All products contain no dyes, artificial perfumes or harsh irritants that can irritate your skin. They also contain skin-loving ingredients and added vitamins for natural, healthy-looking skin. I found them at my local Target and you can also find them a various drug stores. All of the products range in price from $5-13.
The star product I must tout is the Simple Cleansing Micellar Water ($6.99 at Target). I am a micellar water lover and have used it on my skin for the last few years. I usually buy Bioderma in France and recently I have tried Avene. After trying the Simple Micellar Water I love it the best because 1) There's no fragrance and 2) it leaves my skin feeling soft. Micellar water is great because you don't have to rinse your face afterwards. This is more so true in France where the water is hard and can strip your skin. Even though I don't typically wear a lot of makeup day to day, I use the micellar water as a "first pass" to take off all my makeup. Then I use a cream cleanser.
The Simple Moisturizing Facial Wash ($5.99 at Target) has been really great to use each night. Again, there's no fragrance (love it) and you only need a small amount to wash your face. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and soft. The price makes it also a huge plus! I just remember watching a video from makeup artist Lisa Eldridge saying that you don't need to splurge on a cleanser because it doesn't stay long on your face!
I love wipes for emergencies and for when I travel so it was good to find out that Simple had some really good wipes. The Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes ($4.49 at Target) are soft and can get your makeup off when you are in a jam. It says it can take of waterproof mascara but I don't wear waterproof mascara. It did take off my regular mascara and eye makeup really well. My favorite of the wipes though are the Simple Exfoliating Facial Wipes ($4.39 at Target). You can clean your face and gently lift off dead skin cells to refresh your skin. There is added vitamin B5, vitamin E and aloe vera. Don't over exfoliate though. Just use these twice a week.
For moisturizing, the Simple Protecting Light Moisturizer SPF 15 ($9.99 at Target) is fantastic. It goes on light and absorbs right into your skin. There is no fragrance again so it just goes on clean on your skin. The added SPF 15 is great for day wear to protect you from the sun. I also love that it's bottle with a flip top dispenser so your hand isn't dipping into a cream jar and adding bacteria to the mix.
The Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturizer ($9.99 at Target) is great for really dry skin. I used this basically as a night cream and woke up with my skin feeling soft. Again, I love the bottle with the flip top dispenser and the fact that there's no perfume fragrance.
Simple Skincare is a brand I know will continue to use. It's got everything I want - no fragrance, no added unnecessary harsh chemicals, good ingredients for your skin and is very affordable! To find out more about the Simple Skincare line, visit their website at simpleskincare.com.
