Cleanse your skin first, then use the essence after your face is clean. Put a few drops in the palm of your hands and press it gently into the skin so that it can get absorbed. The essence has velvety-feeling and once you pat it in, it just makes your skin feel amazingly hydrated. Follow it with the rest of your moisturizing routine with serum(s), moisturizer and sunscreen if it's in the day.
