New for fall is Clarins Joli Rouge Moisturizing Long-Wearing Lipstick ($27 at Clarins). Lipstick lovers rejoice! It comes in 16 shades and so many variations of nude lips that I can't even tell you how excited I am. The lipsticks have a sweet scent and is enriched with Mango Oil and moisturizing organic Marsh Samphire. Your lips are moisturized and the color stays and stays.
I've been wearing it for a week now and I can't tell you which shade is my favorite because I honestly love them all. The Joli Rouge red that is called Joli Rouge is just so perfect and flattering that you feel a little like Taylor Swift. For everyday, i'm using the more muted shades and rose/raspberry tones. Love them all.
Here are some swatches:
All of these colors are really flattering on me. Joli Rouge is probably the best red I've seen on my lips. I literally rotate between the other four colors as they are all so fun. I think Rosewood is a great soft nude tone.
For a pretty pout, Clarins lined up a beauty tip (steps are below) that I recently tried out. I have to say that I am adoring their new lip liners. They are soft and not typically pencil hard. You have to try them!
1) The Instant Light Brush On Perfector ($35 at Clarins) can help you brighten up shadowy areas around your mouth. Just brush on the areas above the upper lip, corners of the mouth, the hollow of your chin and blend it into your skin.
2) Apply one of the new All Day Comfort Lipliner Pencils ($25 at Clarins). There are three shades to choose from nude fair, nude beige and nude rose. I have the nude beige and nude rose which you can see in the swatches above. I'm a huge fan of this pencil because it really goes on smooth so you can line and fill in your entire lip without having to first put on a bit of lip balm. It goes on really smooth.
3) Apply your Joli Rouge Lipstick.
4) Finish off with the Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector ($25 at Clarins). This is one of my favorite lip glosses. You can get a soft shine on your lips with out gloopiness. I have it in Candy Shimmer. I love the tube and the applicator, instead of a typical wand. It's also one of those glosses that can go into your handbag without making a mess.
