Luxury beauty brand Cosmedicine has a new line of skincare formulations called the Gold Standard. This new line features small artisanal batch production and special packaging to ensure freshness of the vitamin and nutrient ingredients for maximum results. The company has been around since 2003 but I have only recently heard about it. The muted tones of the packaging is understated elegance. I love that it's not too minimalistic because the bottles and tubes are just luxurious and feel feminine.
My favorite product is the Primary Care Perfected Daily Moisturizer ($56). I've been using it every morning since I've received it. It comes in a small tube but there is also a drawstring pouch so you can also carry it around in your handbag or for travel if needed. The moisturizer is rich in Bamboo Extract (anti-irritant, minimizes wrinkles), Comfrey Root Extract (cell-healing), Glucosamine HCL (improves skin tone), Hyaluronic Acid (plumps up skin and adds fullness/freshness). Megadose Nutritional Complex (proprietary blend of anti-aging essentials) and Pea Extract (amino acids and proteins for collagen stimulation). This moisturizer also comes with SPF 20. There's a wonderful soft scent to it too. The formulator's notes on the site mentions that this formula is special in that oily areas of your skin are controlled while dry areas are given hydration. The moisturizer moves according to your skin and addresses areas that need it.
Speedy Recovery ($48) is a one-step exfoliator and blemish clarifying cleanser. I've been using it on my chin all week as I have a terrible outbreak of small acne from some medication I am taking. It's helping tons and what I love the most is that it's not overdrying and flaking out my skin in that area. Key ingredients are Crystalized Algae (unclog pores without scratching the skin), Natural Botanical Acids (remove bacteria) and Tea Tree Oil (controls inflammation).
