Get an airbrushed makeup look with the new Clinique Sonic System Airbrushed Finish Liquid Foundation Applicator ($89.50). I have the Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush (review here soon) so all you need for that is a foundation sponge head ($26). In fact, what I love about Clinique's sonic system is that you can attach different kinds of heads to use with the sonic holder.
Right now, I am loving two foundations from Clinique. For maximum coverage, I am loving the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer ($27). I have it in the shade 2 Alabaster. It is really good full coverage foundation. I also love the doe foot wand which works really well for when I need to conceal under my eyes or for any blemishes. For when I want lighter coverage, I've been using Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus ($34.95) in shade 3. The consistency is a bit more fluid than the Beyond Perfecting Foundation and it's got anti-aging properties as well as SPF 15 in it.
The foundation applicator is really easy to use and don't worry it's not going to shake your whole face. In fact, I find it really soft and more gentle than using a foundation brush. The applicator sponge is sooooooo soft to my skin. I first dot the foundation on four areas of my face: my forehead, chin and both cheeks. Then I glide the applicator over my face to blend in the foundation. You don't need to press, just move the applicator around your face for coverage. It's very soft and the gentle motion helps get your foundation really blended into your skin. I love that when I look closely at myself in the mirror, I don't see residual foundation on my face. One tip is to use the sides of the sponge to get the corners of your nose. You can see the illustrated directions on the Clinique site here and make sure to follow the facial arrows so that you are moving the applicator in the proper direction for the benefit of your skin longterm. After I am done, I just detach the foundation head and clean the sponge with some liquid soap and water. Then let it air dry. This way it ensures that my foundation applicator is fresh and clean to use on my skin the next time.
I find Clnique's Sonic System to be fantastic. I'll have a review up soon. I now want to get the massage applicator head!
