I hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend! I can't believe it's the end of summer already. These last few days in San Francisco have been wonderfully sunny and nice since September and October is usually when we finally have summer weather. There have been multiple beauty products that I've really been enjoying these past few months so I want to share them all with you. Enjoy!
1. Colorescience Sunforgettable Loose Mineral Sunscreen Brush Broad Spectrum SPF 50 ($25 at Sephora)
This is an amazing powder sunscreen in a portable brush. It's perfect for mid-day touch ups and more sun protection. I love that it's in a portable size that fits easy in a tote bag or handbag. There are four shades available as well as a travel size. I bring this along on day trips or long weekends away. (See full review)
2. Clarins Ombre Iridescente Eyeshadow ($25 at ClarinsUSA)
This cream-to-powder eyeshadow has been my go-to for an easy summer look. You don't need a primer with this one and I learned from a Clarins makeup artist to just tap it in with my fingers. My favorite color is the 07 silver plum. I wear that alone or or I pair it with 05 silver pink. (See full review)
3. Chloé Roses De Chloé Rollerball Eau de Toilette ($28 at Sephora)
I picked up the rollerball version of the Roses De Chloé fragrance and can't tell you how much I love this scent. It's not as strong as the main Chloé fragrance and instead you smell just like soft rose petals. It's such a soft, lingering fragrance that I love carrying around the rollerball in my makeup bag to reapply it during the day. I can't stop smelling my wrists!
4. Tatcha Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil ($48 at Sephora)
I picked up this Tatcha Cleansing Oil while on a 4th of July holiday weekend at Half Moon Bay. I treated myself to a Tatcha facial at the Riz Carlton and was introduced to most of the skincare products in that line. This cleansing oil really gets out all the makeup and dirt of the day and doesn't strip my skin. (See full review)
5. ILIA Illuminator in Cosmic Dancer ($34 at Sephora)
For just a beautiful summer glow, I've been using this ILIA Illuminator almost every day since I received it. The Cosmic Dancer shade is my favorite as it's a beautiful champagne tone that works beautifully with my skin. I love the stick applicator that makes it so easy to apply to the tops of my cheekbones. 6. Simple Micellar Wipes ($5.39 on Amazon)
Hats off to Simple for making just about the best wipes out there. I had to try the new micellar version this summer and these work perfectly. The wipes are soft to the face and can help cleans your skin when you are in a rush. I don't use these everyday, just when I'm in a hurry or for weekend trips. (See full review)
7. Cocokind Organic Baby Oil ($13.99 at Cocokind)
Cocokind is one of my favorite organic skincare brands. They just introduced a baby line this summer and after using the Cocokind Organic Coconut Oil on my daughter, I tried it on myself after a shower and have gotten hooked ever since. The skin on my arms and legs are so soft! I also love that the oil itself doesn't feel all oily so once you rub it into your skin, it sinks in there. I've completely said goodbye to body lotion! 8. Drybar Lemon Drop Daily Detangler ($16 at Sephora)
I've been using my Drybar Buttercup Blow Dryer for a while now and LOVE it. It dries my hair so fast and my hair doesn't get all frizzy. When I saw the Drybar brush at the beauty area in Bloomingdales, I knew I had to try it. It works wonderfully after the shower to take out tangles and the travel version is the perfect small brush for your tote bag. I have had less hair breaking off because of this brush. 9. Crème de la Mer Moisturizing Cream ($170 for 1 oz, $210 for 2 oz.)
I never thought in a million years I would be a La Mer girl but I completely am after using this product long term this summer. It's the first summer I have not suffered dry skin on my face. The cream is heavier than most so I recommend it for those who are more normal to dry. I use this as a night cream and it sets in all my wonderful serums I have underneath. The key to this cream is how you apply it so make sure you warm the cream up in your hands and gently press it into your face and neck. (See full review)
10. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 Travel Size ($22 at Sephora)
I don't usually wear foundation in the summer but there are days when I wake up and I know my skin needs a little more help. That's when I pick up my trusty tube of Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer. It feels like and gives me a tiny bit of help to even out my skintone. I don't use this much so I usually just pick up the travel size when I visit to Sephora.
