Marin Bee is a new organic skincare line from the Bay Area made from pure honey. I had the chance to meet the founder of Marin Bee, Debra Tomaszewski a few weeks ago. She introduced me to her new luxury organic skincare line and told me more about each product. Debra and her husband Bill also run the Planet Bee Foundation which teaches children and adults about the world of the honey bee. Over the course of many years, Debra has been cooking up special homemade remedies for skincare for herself and her children. Honey is so good for your skin -- it is a natural antibacterial good for acne and prevention as well as a natural anti-aging product. It is full of antioxidants to help slow down aging. I received the products literally a mere matter of a couple weeks since they had launched and was excited to be one of the first to really try out all the honey goodness. Marin Bee Lip Repair ($26)
This lip balm can double as a lip gloss. I have it in my handbag always. I love how moisturizing it is and that it's in a squeezable tube rather than stick. It's made with calendula, beeswax and pomegranate to better protect and condition your lips. I'm truly addicted to this!
Marin Bee Detox Masque ($48)
When I had my meeting with Debra, I was in the midst of a hormonal breakout with a couple of bad pimples on my chin. Debra told me to try this mask and that it would help detox and clean out my skin. I have been using this mask a couple times a week now and I honestly haven't had a breakout since! Even when my time of the month came, I was expecting another pimple and I have had zero! It's a thicker mask than I am usually used to but it really works to clean and detox out the oils and dirt from your skin. It's now part of my weekly mask rotation. I also just use it on my chin to keep my acne at bay. So if you are looking for a natural way to take care of your acne, I definitely recommend this Detox Masque.
Marin Bee Honey Shave ($28)
The Honey Shave is a great natural alternative to shave gel. It is really smooth so my razor glides over my skin easily and it doesn't irritate my skin. It really love how moisturizing it is.
Marin Bee Honey Butter (2 sizes: 1.5 oz $18, 4oz $40)
This Honey Butter is perfect for fall and winter when your skin tends to get really dry. I like to use it out of the shower and the fresh citrus scent is wonderfully light and refreshing. I also keep the smaller Honey Butter tube in my handbag to moisturize my hands. It's the only cream that really keeps the moisture in my hands so now I've noticed that I have less cracking on the skin around my fingers.
Marin Bee Honey Polish ($38)
This is a great product to use in the shower for all your rough spots you need to exfoliate. The Honey Polish contains 1/3 pure California Wildflower Honey to soothe and moisturize your skin. It's really great to slough off all that dead dry skin on your feet, knees, elbows and dry hands.
