One of my favorite posts to do each holiday season is rounding up some of the best and more interesting holiday beauty palettes. Last year, I treated myself to the Chanel Travel Makeup Palette (which is still available on the Chanel site). They are so multifunctional that I plan to treat myself to a new one. YSL beauty has not let me down so I am coveting the new Yves Saint Laurent Multi-Use Palette, Sparkle Clash Collection ($95 at Bloomingdales). The palette features four eyeshadows in shades of plum, gold, bronze and a metallic rose, a highlighter with pink and gold undertones and two lip colors (nude and red). There are also 3 applicators included: one for blush, eyeshadow and lips. I love the how the palette is draped in gold and silver sparkles -- making it extra fun to take out and apply your makeup. Perfect set for traveling!
For home, I want this Laura Mercier Master Class Color Essentials Collection, 2nd Edition ($125 at Bloomingdales). It contains everything thing you need for makeup everyday. The collection includes 12 eye shadows, 1 blush, 1 highlighter, 1 bronzer, 2 cake eyeliners, 1 cream eye pencil in Noir, 1 double-ended eyeliner brush and 1 double-ended eye shadow brush. How perfect is this?!
