I'm super excited to give you #planneraddicts out there a special preview of the upcoming new 2019-2020 Erin Condren Deluxe Monthly Planner! The new Deluxe Monthly Planner will be available to purchase on erincondren.com on Tuesday, June 4th. As you know, I've been using this planner for the entire year since last July (my review here) and I can't say enough good things about it. Recently the EC team reached out to me and sent me the new monthly planner to check out.
This year's kaleidoscope theme is my favorite by far. I really can't get enough of it! (I have already made two orders on their site in the last two weeks for items I'll be reviewing soon here on the blog.)
I have the colorful theme in the monthly planner and there is also a neutral version that is a softer muted color palette of the same kaleidoscope design.
Erin Condren's Monthly Deluxe Planner is a great option for those of you who want to dip your toes into the world of planners. The key difference between these planners and the Erin Condren Life Planner is that there are four notes pages after each month, instead of dated weekly view pages. This gives you optimum flexibility on how to use the pages however you want. The planner is like a notebook on rocket fuel, I say. You have 1 book and 1 place to organize and jot down ideas, tasks, phone calls, etc to manage your family, a project or two --- anything you want!
In fact, I think what's great about the monthly planner is that you can actually change how you use it each month depending on what is happening in your life. For example, last July my in laws visited us from France fo a month in our Napa home. I had a household of 6 people or more at a time (add in a few of my daughter's friends). I had to plan out all of our meals for groceries as well a sight-seeing trips. The month view was great to plan out the meals or restaurant reservations and I used the notes pages to plan out various sight seeing day trips. I also had space to manage the last bits of our remodeling notes too.
The Erin Condren planners and notebooks all use Mohawk paper. It's the best paper and I love it so much. I can write with markers and nothing bleeds through, ever. You can watch this video on Erin Condren's You Tube Channel about their use of Mohawk paper.
So here's the new info:

Here are more peeks inside the Erin Condren Deluxe Monthly Planner:
If you are new to Erin Condren, the covers are all interchangeable between all of the Life Planners and notebooks. You can purchase new planner colors separately and they can all be personalized either with your name, initials, special quote or whatever you want. The cover is also a place you can jot down notes with one of Erin Condren's Wet Erase Markers ($10.50/set of 4 markers). Just wipe clean with a wet paper towel or one of Erin's Well-Kept Wipes ($6.50). The opening page is where you can put your name and info and you can also attach one of the Kaleidoscope Snap-In Stylized Sticky Notes ($10.50) or a dashboard. This is the colorful Deluxe Monthly Planner so everything is well, colorful. The design, the tabs, and the quote pages. Also the coil of the planner comes in four choices: Platinum, Gold, Black or Rose Gold, one of my favorites, which is what I have here. I'll be using this planner in 2020 as my blog and book writing project planner to plan out editorial and also work on my own schedule and deliverables for my book project.
I love this calendar overview page. I use it to track my daughter's school calendar and her days off school and school trips. I had You can see here what I did last year. I never realized how much I used this page and how much I need it in my life! I use the transparent Erin Condren Colorful Circles Sticker Pack ($7.50).
This is a very useful page and it's flexible with 12 boxes to use however you wish. I love that this year these boxes have lines! i'm usually more about the free open spaces but I realized from using my planner this year, having the lines will help keep my text aligned better. Some planners use this with each box as a month in order to pre-plan the coming year or to note down and memory keep the best highlights of the month. I'm still thinking about what I will use this page for in relation to my work. For my 2019-2020 Life Planner, I am changing things up and this will be my page of favorites and must-dos. I always have a running list of books I want to read, movies or tv shows to watch or recipes to try. This will let me brain dump it all and I can refer back to it when I need something new to do.
Each month tab is a beautiful page with an inspirational quote. See how beautiful this new kaleidoscope design is?! There is also a left page for notes for the upcoming month. I really like the new hexagon marker and the title bar at the top.
Once you turn the tab, you'll arrive at the new monthly goal pages. There's a blank page space on the left page and the right page has a place for you to jot down your birthdays, monthly goals and two other boxes to do whatever you want with. Keep in mind you can really do whatever you want here. If birthdays are not your thing, put a sticker over the title and list out important things you need to remember for the month. This is one of my favorite additions to the Erin Condren planners this year. I am so glad they have this also in the Deluxe Monthly Planner.
Here is the monthly view. There's lots of space to mark key dates and a side notes area on the right.
After you leave the monthly view, there are 4 pages of lined note pages. Again, I don't mind the hexagon in the corner. I like it so much better than the flags that were there before which I usually covered up with stickers. Each month changes colors and quotes and it's the same system of 1 note page, 1 month tab with quote, monthly goal pages spread, month view spread, and then 4 notes pages.
At the end of December, you get a full view of 2021 with spaces to pre-plan events and important things you may need to note down.
After 2021, you get the Notes tab section where you can choose to have up to 40 pages after your planner with dot grid or lined note pages. I have lined note pages. I used these pages a lot and used Erin Condren's Mini Snap-In Bookmarks ($4.50 for a set of 3) as markers for different "subjects" I needed (home, school, and my work).
At the end of the notes pages, you get 2 pages of stickers that are great to use for your monthly view. I need to remember to use these more! A tip I learned was to just take them out of the coil and put them in the folder pocket so you're more inclined to use them as they are loose.
The folder pockets are soooooo gorgeous with gold foil. I'm telling you this Kaleidoscope design is the best!
At the back, the super good news is that they continued the same style folder pocket. Last year they had a smaller rectangular pocket that was low so things fell out of it easier. You also still have the wet wipe area of the back cover to use as another dashboard to note down important things. For this planner I also have one of Erin Condren's Pen Holder ($3.50) with a magenta colored Dual-Tip Marker ($15.50 for set of 6 or get the 10 pack of rainbow colors for $22.50.) I love her markers and always have them at my desk. I always write in color.
