Hi Lovelies! I am taking this week off from blogging so I can enjoy the rest of summer with Chloe as she's about to start school later this week. I'll be back after Labor Day and will have plenty of NY Fashion Week coverage for you next week. I'll be reporting from home base in SF, while Leigh Ferreira will be reporting again from fashion shows and events in NYC.

I'm doing a lot more cooking and baking lately with my daughter Chloe so I loved this photo of Audrey Hepburn getting something delicious out of the oven in her cute sundress.

Hi Lovelies! Some of you may have already heard that I have left my position as Editor-in-Chief of CRAFT. If not, you can read the post, Hello Goodbye. It was a hard decision to leave but I am so happy that my dear friend Diane Gilleland of CraftyPod has taken over. If there's one thing I learned from this job is that you can't beat our craft community. I am so grateful for the Internet and friends all around the world who have emailed or Facebooked me (can that even be a word these days?!) with support and understanding about my reason to leave and concentrate on my family. "Chloe is only 2 once!" I heard over and over or "I did the same thing when my kids were young and I never regretted it." This support means so much so I humbly say thanks.
It was an exhausting week last week (it's hard to transfer over 5 1/2 years worth of work knowledge into just a few days to wrap up) and even then I was still finishing up some loose ends up to 1am last night. For those that I may owe an email or more to just sit tight and give me this week to finally decompress. I promise I will get back to you. And for those that have asked, of course I'll still be here on Coquette! I could never give up this blog which has been my lifeline. I'll be back tomorrow with regular posts on Coquette and Coquette Maman showcasing my Calypso St. Barth for Target picks. (If you can't wait, head over to your nearest Target store before the selection dwindles down!)

Wow! I can't believe I almost forgot about this! Five years ago today I started Coquette as place where I could share all the things I love relation to fashion, technology, and crafts. Thank you dear friends for reading!
And if you haven't noticed by now, I usually always choose a photo of Audrey Hepburn for announcement posts because her style and grace is something I admire. So today, I've chose a cute photo of Audrey in her Parisian beret among the pretty flowers in what I would like to imagine as a beautiful garden in France. Inspiration for me as I'm gearing up soon to go to Paris and the southwest of France in August! More to come on that!
One of my major inspirations for Coquette and one of my most popular posts is the story about my fashion designer grandmother from Shanghai in the 1930's. Here's one of her photos where she posed for her photographer friend.
