Everpurse is a bag that charges your phone so you'll never have low battery ever again! The clutches and wristlets are perfect to carry essentials when you are on the go or to be used inside your larger handbag. Prices range from $189-$319 or you can retrofit your own handbag for $600 (if your bag is compatible). Current mobile phones that are compatible with Everpurse are: iPhone 4, 4S, 5 and Samsung Galaxy S III.
How does it work? Everpurse charges on it's own mat overnight and uses inductive charging to send energy wirelessly from the mat to the purse. Inside the bag there's a special charging pocket where you place your mobile phone.
This is the perfect mergence of tech and fashion!

I have the iPhone 4S and I'm amazed at how with each iteration of the iPhone the camera just gets better and better. Most of the time, I no longer need to take my camera with me. Photojojo now has the Belkin iPhone Shutter Remote ($40) for sale in their shop. Now your trusty iPhone can do self-portraits, group photos, long exposures, stop-motion, shake-free video, and more – all from 30 feet away. The remote comes with a detachable iPhone stand that fits over cases too! The remote works with the iPod Touch, iPad, and iPhone 3GS, 4/4S (iOS 4.3 or later).
I never liked my alarm and quite frankly I really hate my husband's alarm. He usually wakes up 1-2 hours before I do and it's always a mix of loud beeping and static-filled radio. Annoying! When I found out about LARK, I knew I had to test out this new kind of alarm that wakes you up silently and works in conjunction with your iPhone or iPad. The main component is a little square device that charges in a dock. You download the LARK app to your iPhone or iPad and the two pieces work together to not only wake you up on time but also track your sleeping patterns.
The device is worn on the wrist with an included velcro band. I am not a person who likes to wear jewelry to bed so I was pleasantly surprised at how lightweight the device felt on my wrist. I barely knew it was there. I chose to use the app on my iPad which would eliminate any potential message alerts I usually get. If you do use your iPhone, it can rest nicely on the LARK dock.
Let's talk alarm first. Instead of loud beeping, the alarm wakes you up with a small vibrating motion. You can then choose to "snooze" for another 10 minutes by going to your iPhone/iPad and pressing the snooze button or you can choose to wake up by turning off the alarm. Once you do, all the data that was collected when you were sleeping is displayed on a graph noting the length of time you slept. It notes the times you woke up in the middle of the night as well as your period of deep sleep time. As a backup in case you forgot to charge your LARK, an Peace of Mind, an audio back up alarm will sound.
To start using LARK to it's full potential, I did the recommended 7 day sleep assessment and my husband agreed to wake up with me each weekday morning at 6:50am. From my data, I realized this made the difference because my deepest time of sleep was usually in the 3am to 6am time. I know I probably shouldn't have done my Downton Abbey marathon night while I was doing my 7 day sleep test, but it definitely showed me data-wise that I couldn't make do in the day with just 4 hours of sleep. At the end of it all, I also realized my sleep sweet spot was sleeping 7-8 hours a night. The app includes tag buttons you can press in the morning to note things like "woken up by someone" or "had caffeine". There were nights I was woken up by my daughter and even my dog, which I would note in the tags for that night's sleep. Too bad there wasn't a Downton Abbey tag, haha.
I was able to try out LARK pro which I recommend completely. It takes all your sleep data and has a coach give you an assessment of your sleep type and recommendations on how to sleep better. With a toddler, anything can happen during the night so my label of "Rookie-Erratic" is correct. I do know that I can control the Rookie part so it's up to me to get myself to bed a lot earlier. TV shows, reading, blogging, surfing my iPad should wait until the next day.
LARK is new and currently works with iOS on the iPhone/iPad but Android isn't too far behind. (Read this support note.) I honestly recommend this alarm to everyone. I can't imagine anyone likes to hear their alarm but it's even more useful to couples and those who are new parents. LARK is perfect if you a partner who snores and you need to wear ear plugs. You can still wake up on time! This alarm is also perfect if you have a baby sleeping in your room and you need to wake up without waking up the baby. You also can't beat having your own personal sleep coach to help you get a better nights sleep.
Buy LARK for just $99 for the device or $159 for LARK pro which is your personal sleep coach for one year and helps improve your sleep. (You can also upgrade your LARK to LARK pro later for just $60.)
LARK Tips:
Make a quick read through the User Manual or FAQ if you have questions.
Make sure you don't set your alarm and unplug your LARK device, until you are actually going to fall asleep. (i.e. You can read in bed and set your alarm after you are done reading.)

Fashion technology is one of my passions and it's always exciting for me to see more movement in this direction. Adafruit just announced their new open-source wearable electronics platform, FLORA. What does this mean? It means that in the near future, you will start to see much more interesting ways in which clothing or accessories can light up, connect with your devices, and take things into the future.
FLORA is very beginner friendly so if you are looking to get into fashion technology – this module can be a great first step! I'll continue to keep up on this new technology and will post new developments in fashion tech as they come up.
Mark your calendars! Rebecca Minkoff has partnered up with eBay to launch an exclusive new six-piece tech collection of accessories. As iPads and tablets start to become our on-the-go laptop replacements, I love how they are being integrated into handbag designs. First I noted on Proenza Schouler's chic PS1iPad clutch last week. Today, I stumbled upon Diane von Furstenberg's Harper Connect Leather Daybag ($695 at DVF.com) while browsing her Fall 2011 Lookbook. The Harper bag comes in black and luggage and looks like a stylish vintage handbag with it's large buckle and chain-link handle. What I love best about the bag is the great techy-thinking it incorporated into the design. Instead of having to take out your iPad from the inside pocket, all you have to do is pull down the zippers on the back of the hand bag to start using your digital tablet. Stylish genius that only Diane von Furstenberg could do!
I frequently visit the Proenza Schouler site just to drool over their bags. (Kinda obsessed over the PS1 Keep All Small and anything PS11.) To my surprise, I came across the new Proenza Schouler iPad Cases ($685) and comes in red, black, and a bright neon color they call Sulphur. I am not a fan of big iPad cases but this one caught my eye. What I love about it is that it actually looks more like a clutch, than anything holding your technology. It's got the iconic PS1 straps that I adore. In the front flap you can hold your personal items like your cellphone, keys, and money. In fact, I could also see this being carried around as a cool roomy day clutch without your iPad in there at all.
I've been using my HP Mini Vivienne Tam for almost five months now and it's made work on the go so much easier. Now the new HP Mini 210 series has launched in a bevy of six candy colors perfect for fall. Choose from charcoal, luminous rose, ocean drive, lavender frost, and my favorite color, crimson red! These little laptops are powerful to take blogging or web surfing on the road. Prices start at only $329.99! You can't beat that. And for you Mac users, with Windows 7 these PC's are easy to use. I like using the quick start button which lets me get immediate access to my email or web browser.
The HP Mini also fits perfect in my Rebecca Minkoff hobo so I never need to have a separate laptop bag and carry 2 bags when I'm going to an event. You can also choose to get a matching laptop sleeve and mini mouse to coordinate your HP Mini style. These make excellent gifts for the upcoming holidays!
