This is a picture of my daughter's Wall Organization Center from last fall (previous post here). I had her classes personalized on here and it worked out well for her for the start of middle school. My daughter Chloe started middle school and I knew it would be a new thing for her to have different classes and teachers to manage her schedule and workload. She chose her favorite color Teal and we listed out all her classes with room for 2 boxes to be notes or for her elective classes that change periodically throughout the school year. I am using mine for my work stuff and have 3 booklets inside: lined paper notebook, monthly planner and plain white sketch paper (an Amy Tangerine collab that is not on the site anymore). I have the lagoon color but now that it's fall, I can't decide if I want a new folio either the new wine color or the Starry Sky version. Each planner cover is reg $20 but now $15 each. I picked up the Erin Condren Planner Tote this summer and I've been using it a lot this fall for hauling my work stuff. I'm a creative so for me, having a place to put my folio, pen pouches, folders, as well as my laptop is essential. The wide strap is soooooo comforable. I splurged on the suede one (now on sale for $90, was $120) and it was so worth it. It looks even better in person. It has a shimmer to it and works well with dressed up or casual outfits. The canvas versions are now just $45 and the black leather version is the same price as the suede.

For writing, I basically migrated this summer to using these Classic Dual-Tip Markers. I use the black and teal color the most that I needed to get a new 6 pack (reg $15.50, now $11.62). They are my must have essential! I keep them in an acrylic pencil holder on my desk and I have to keep my daughter from snatching them!

I'm going to assume you already have a Life Planner but if you don't, or if you are like me and realized you had the wrong style of planner, now is your chance to get one with this sale. The are now on sale for around $41.25 to $45. I recently decided to bite the bullet last month and switch to an EC hourly planner from a horizontal. I have way more flexibility with creating to-do lists and sometimes I do block things by the hour. It's helpful to see it all visually there so I can figure out the hours to block for me to design and do my work. I hope to do a post about this soon and I'll show you some of my layouts. I've been finding it fun to just go all out on stickers and decorate. Also, I nervously uncoiled it using JenPlans' video but this is life to me now! I moved my notes section to the front and brought in some note pages from my previously monthly planner that I used last year. I also took out some months so the planner so now it's less bulky!

Gazette: A New French Boutique in San Francisco Featuring Ethical French Brands

Just opened recently is a new boutique Gazette in the lovey Hayes Valley shopping district. It's like taking a shopping trip to France. Owner Charlotte Boedec is a French native from Paris and her new boutique Gazette features brands that originate from France. But it doesn't just stop there. These brands are ethically conscious and may use sustainable materials or ethical production methods. Every brand in the store has their own small area and there is a framed bio speaking to their background and what they do. Boedec's boutique features quality products something that I know the French value a lot. Personally, it's great to see a shop like this in San Francisco.

Boedec herself is the founder and leather designerof SOFRANCISCO, a brand that features handbags, clutches, bracelets, belts and phone cases made from handcrafted Italian leather.

Right when you enter the store, you are greeted by a display of C. Lavie skincare -- natural beauty from Paris created by Sylvia Cazaenvave-Lavie, a former chemical engineer with sensitive skin. You can find out on the C. Lavie site how they go from plant to bottle with a full ecological process with no toxic releases in the environment. All products contain a high percentage of organic grown plants. I have been using the serum, eye cream and day cream since Tuesday and will do a full review soon. Boedec mentioned to me that it was recommended by C. Lavie to only wash your face at night with micellar water and not apply any creams at all at night because your skin will repair at night. I still need to do more research on this but I have been keeping it minimal at night only using my natural products and spraying on rosewater and using my face oil at night while keeping to the C. Lavie regimen in the day (with SPF 50 sunscreen over it).

One of the most popular pieces in the boutique are the classic French mariner striped shirts from Armor Lux. You can really feel the quality of the fabric and these "bateau" tops will surely last a long time. I'm obsessed!

Kids clothing by Le Petits Carreaux is wonderfully displayed near the front of the shop. You guys know how much I love this brand! Chloe sported it a lot when she was younger. (See previous Coquette Maman post .)

Spring Trend: Reworked Shirts

Hi Lovelies! It's been a little while since I had the chance to do a blog post. My daughter was sick from late last week till early this week and then I of course ended up getting sick! I had planned on doing my February favorites but now that we are way more into March, I'll just note those down for my March favorites and have a bit more to share with you at the end of the month! I wanted to get this post up quickly because Bloomingdales is having an amazing sale for their loyalists. For spring I am loving the new trend of reworked shirts, especially when they are striped like a mens shirt. The look now is all about ruffles, showing some shoulder or showcasing sleeves. New Rebecca Minkoff Boutique in SF Brings New Tech to Fashion

Shopping goes to a whole new tech level at the new Rebecca Minkoff boutique on Filmore Street in SF. The boutique just opened today and boasts some amazing connected technology that blends seamlessly into the shopping experience. I got to visit the boutique a month ago while it was still under construction to experience the technology that was created by eBay. A large three paneled touch screen greets shoppers upon entering. The screens flip through Minkoff's runway videos and call to action buttons inviting shoppers to "tap" the screen to see looks.

You can browse items and pair them with other pieces to create a look. You'll also be able to see immediately if the item is in stock and have it sent to a dressing room.

Once you enter the dressing room, you'll see the items you bring in appear on the mirror which is actually another large touch screen. Each item of clothing or accessories is equipped with a RIFD on the price tag which is read by sensors when you enter the room. On the mirror, you'll be able to change the lighting from day, night, to club. Need another size? No need to yell out for a sales associate. Just tap the mirror and you'll be able to contact someone to bring you another size or piece of clothing. You can even request a glass of bubbly!

While at the press preview, I got a chance to meet Rebecca Minkoff. She couldn't be any more lovely in person and I'm so happy she chose SF as one of her first boutiques outside of NYC. I'm looking forward to shopping at the new boutique!

Ines De La Fressange's Fall/Winter 2014 Collection with Uniqlo

French model Inés de la Fressange is still one of the most stylish models around at age 57 today. The former Chanel model has effortless Parisian style which you see in the new Inés de la Fressange Fall/Winter 2014 collection with Uniqlo. It's all about classic items that you can pair with great accessories. Menswear with a twist. I can't tell you how many stylish French women I saw in Paris this summer wearing a black pants suit. Trés chic! Forget those images of fashion bloggers in girly dresses at the Eiffel Tower - This is not really Paris! I am currently in love with her trench coat (on sale for $99.90). For such an affordable coat, there's amazing quality to it. The material is preached cotton and comes with a removable lining for those chilly days. Comes in classic beige or navy. Decisions, decisions!

I also love Inés book, Parisian Chic: A Style Guide by Ines de la Fressange ($16.92 on Amazon). The book came out in 2011 but I only recently heard about it. It's a wonderful inspiration book as well as a perfect shopping guide if you plan on visiting Paris and need good shopping tips. The book is designed beautifully to feel like a journal with lots of color photos and notes. I love that it also comes with a cute bookmark!

Travel to Paris: Shopping at Galeries Lafayette

My favorite department store in the world is the Galeries Lafayette in Paris. I first stepped inside the grand department store back in 1997, my first trip to Paris and I've been shopping there every since. In fact, many of the things I have bought at the store over the years are still in my wardrobe today. This August, I was lucky enough to have a private tour and given access to take photos inside. I was also lucky to be able to experience Galerie Lafayette's personal shopping service.

What I love the best about Galerie Lafayette is that there are so many different brands under one roof (a very big roof!). Not only can you shop expensive luxury goods from Chanel to Louis Vuitton, you can also shop for midrange to inexpensive brands such as Topshop. I love walking through the beauty department that sits oh so dazzlingly under the neo-byzantine dome built in 1912. All the lipsticks and perfumes, smell all the more sweeter here of course. And unlike most stores, shopping abroad is best because it's tax free and you can choose to get your tax refund (12%) via cash back or credit. Learn more about the tax free details.

My fantastic tour guide was Indré (pictured right) who gave me such an amazing detail about the history of Galeries Lafayette. While we were under the dome, Indré showed me the art installation by Phillippe Ramette that was up from July to the end of August, titled "Eloge de la contemplation (le temps suspendu)" which means place of contemplation (suspended time). Galeries Lafayette holds art dear to its heart so it's no surprise that they showcase different artists and exhibits throughout the year in the store.

Galeries Lafayette's art gallery is on the main floor and is called the Galiere des Galieres. This year the Galerie des Galeries invites the photographer Philippe Jarrigeon to exhibit his work. With "Grand Magasin" (means department store) he has created a series of images inspired by this place and people’s experiences of it. (From September 23 to November 14, 2014.)

Every August, there is some sort of installation exhibit on the 4th floor. This summer it was the L'Excellence a la Française which showcased all the famous French brands and what region of France they came from.

If you spend most of the day shopping in here (which we pretty much did), you can dine at many of the great restaurants inside. We chose Angelina, of course.

After all these years of going to Paris, I had no idea that there was a rooftop with the most amazing view of the city! You could turn around 365 degrees and see everything from the Eiffel Tower to the Sacré Cœur. You definitely won't want to miss this gorgeous view where you can also sit and take a break. I loved that it wasn't crowded up on the rooftop at all so you could really enjoy the breathtaking view.
