Bay Area families are invited to the 45th anniversary of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, a celebration of spring inspired by Eric Carle’s iconic story. The event will take place at the Metreon location of Chronicle Books Location at 165 4th Street in San Francisco. It's a great way to spend a fun Saturday morning.

Kids can enjoy games and activities including:
- A painting station for kids to create their very own section of The Very Hungry Caterpillar community garland that will be strung throughout the store.
- A read-aloud corner where the magic of Eric Carle will be brought to life through vivid story telling
- Delicious cookies and milk for the kids, and fresh coffee for accompanying adults
- Raffles for a range of prizes from The World of Eric Carle
